Historia
When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

A story so special and real
Revisado: 04-19-20
I have just finished my second listen within two weeks of my first listen. This story is one of hope and romance that will stay with you.
There is something so special about the raw and genuine way this story is told through the narrator Alex that is begs to be re-read over and over again. I listened in one sitting the first time through. I hadn’t even finished the book when I ordered a physical copy because I knew I’d also like to experience reading it.
This book is heart achingly romantic. But the romance is developed through the sense of time and conversation we get with the couple that usually gets rushed or cut in other stories. Those real moments when you’re texting or flirting. When you slowly start to realize you’ve fallen in love. The real stuff.
The narrator also adds to this story in so many ways. His accents and different character voices are easy to distinguish while still managing to be told through Alex.
My only criticism is that there are a handful of times that I wished there had been a character tag following some dialogue between the White House trio. They are such a developed group of friends that have their own little subculture that during those chats between the three of them it can be a bit hard to figure out who it talking. Didn’t detract from the story, but is an observation.
If you are on the fence, I recommend listening to or reading this book.

Jamie Goldberg is cool with volunteering for his local state senate candidate - as long as he’s behind the scenes. When it comes to speaking to strangers (or, let’s face it, speaking at all to almost anyone) Jamie’s a choke artist. There’s no way he’d ever knock on doors to ask people for their votes...until he meets Maya. Maya Rehman’s having the worst Ramadan ever. Why her mother thinks the solution to her problems is political canvassing - with some awkward dude she hardly knows - is beyond her.

Swoon worthy
Revisado: 02-14-20
This story had me smiling and laughing while listening. Albertalli nails it again and I’m a new fan of Saeed! Instantly relatable they capture the inner voice of a young adult so well.
Tiya Sicar did a great job voicing Maya! Michael Crouch will always be one of my favorite narrators. If you like him in this book I recommend checking out the other books he’s done work on, he always works on interesting and well written books!

Mateo and Rufus are total strangers, but, for different reasons, they're both looking to make a new friend on their End Day. The good news: There's an app for that. Touching tale
Revisado: 09-23-18
this story is so touching and inspiring. It was a nice new take on looking at death and life and regrets and satisfaction. The narrative itself was really well written. The inner dialogue distinct and the conversations real.
I loved the voice actors for this book. For what it’s worth I think every book I’ve listened to that michael crouch reads is amazing. He is able to portray so much in his voice and he has subtle be meaningful differences in his narrations for different books/characters.

A touching story
Revisado: 04-08-18
This story is a hard story. I wasn’t expecting some of what happened so trigger warning for domestic violence and anti LGBT themes and slang in the book. Although it is tough content it is so true and genuine feeling. You really live and walk with Evan through this story. You want the best for him and you ache and feel as he fights his way through his day.
This story is told beautifully and truthfully. There are such happy clear moments that you clutch into just like Evan clutches onto them. If you aren’t in a good place with your family or your identity I don’t know that I’d recommend this book-
It could be triggering - it could be reaffirming that you are valid and that others have gone through similar experiences. I know this is a review but I want y’all to be safe and not accidentally trigger yourself even though I love this book!
I do recommend the audiobook. Micheal Crouch is phenomenal and is my favorite narrator. He manages to differentiate all the characters so well without being caricatures - he also differentiates his characters from other stories which is amazing. He is so underrated and whenever he is narrating a book I know I’m in for a treat!

A story for fans that feels like coming home
Revisado: 03-27-18
When you engage in a retelling there is an understanding that it's going to follow a similar plot. Poston does a great job making her characters really and intriguing. What could have easily fallen flat was emotional and fun! The known plot point were fun and exciting as you realize they are coming up- because you care. The added elements make this story it's own. Some of the scenes about the con and other characters are the most touching. I liked the fact that we got two POVs in this story as well- rang a bit like a Cinderella story with Hilary duff in that aspect.
Performance: I really liked the actors! Eileen nailed the talking while crying voice it even got me a bit choked up! There were some editing errors in Darien's stuff where there were random phrases or a few words repeated - did bother me much but I did notice. I'm curious if Jessica stones character would read quite as negatively if I had just read the book rather than listened to it. Tristan's seductive, condescending drawl didn't always seem to fit what the character was saying - it felt spot on for the first couple scenes with her and I also appreciate him giving her a distinctive voice- so tbd
Overall I really nice comforting listen. A good reliable story packed to the brim with fandom and cultural references that if you're a fan of anything will make you feel like you're coming home!

Damn Becky, back at again with the relatable story
Revisado: 02-17-18
Becky kills the relatable story game. She writes characters that I feel like I simultaneously was and want to be friends with. I appreciate that she makes characters that are real and do things in their life instead of being vessels walking to events to move plot along.
You will love Molly. She is me in high school. She claims to be a late bloomer but she certainly had me beat by a few years :)
Becky manages to effortlessly weave diversity and heartache and life through her stories. Nothing is forced.
Please read this book. Becky's books are so important.

Revisado: 02-17-18
I just finished my second time through the audio book. Michael crouch does a phenomenal job bring this book to life. I'm picky about my voice actors and he kills it. Becky's writing is like one other. If you haven't read any of her books you must. I would suggest this one first.
This book has such real, fleshed out characters that they will live with you beyond the end of the book. This is a good thing. I feel like I know them or if they were real I'd want to be friends with them.
Simons story is a story about love and friendship. Very typical high school emotions, typical isn't bad. It's so relatable. His feelings for his crush, his humor. All the little things we get to know about his life makes him undeniably real.
So please if you are reading this and on the fence buy the book or audiobook and give his story a go. I'm 99.99% sure you won't regret it.
