Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

Rereadable!
Revisado: 09-25-20
I love this book. I read the series through every year in the fall. The writing and story are brilliant. I laugh out loud at the humor and clever dialogue. I love the bits of wisdom and great life lessons that are applicable to even muggles like me.

I love this more
Revisado: 04-10-20
There is something about these books that brings me a sense of serenity and peace. I love them more every time I read them! There are no simple solutions. Life is messy but there is still joy and laughter and tea! There is also kindness, patience, and many different ways of looking at things!

Historia
In this new offering from “the king of Christmas fiction” (The New York Times), number one best-selling author Richard Paul Evans shares a story of heart, loyalty, and hope as he explores the deeper meaning of the holiday season and asks what it truly means to love and forgive. The year is 1975. Elle Sheen - a single mother who is supporting herself and her six-year-old, African-American son, Dylan, as a waitress at the Noel Street Diner - isn’t sure what to make of William Smith when his appearance creates a stir in the small town of Mistletoe, Utah.

Healing and sweet
Revisado: 12-23-19
There were many valuable insights in this book I personally needed. The story was sweet, a little suspensful, (you knew there was some secret William wasn't sharing), and heart wrenching. it was simple and predictable as far as the romance went. My favorite take away was the thought that we don't"expect" but instead "hope".

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I can listen to this book, or read this book for that matter, over and over again and never tire of it. Bonus to be able to hear it in Angela Lansbury's beautiful voice.

Would you listen to A Lady of High Regard again? Why?
Yes. I liked the old fashioned Jane Austen feel of the book. It reminded me of Emma.
