This was a pretty good story about two best friends discovering that being in love and a daddy/little relationship was just what they both needed. The story was a little disappointing for me, I found the chemistry between the two MC's lacking. I just didn't connect with them on an emotional level like I prefer. The Daddy/Little dynamic was pretty good and I enjoyed that. I do love Carly's books and will continue to read them but this was just only pretty good for me. I've listened to this narrator once before and wasn't impressed so I hoped giving him a second chance he may have gotten better. He was marginally better this time around but not great, he really needs to put more emotion in the voices and a much better distinguishing tone with the characters. Overall it was pretty good and I would recommend taking a listen to judge for yourself. [Just a side note that these are my own personal opinions and you may certainly feel differently]

Super Hot!!!

Holy Hotness!! Aced was absolutely amazing! The chemistry between these two was off the charts, I just loved the way Dylan was so open and forward about his attraction to Ace. It may have taken a while for Ace to bring his attraction and feelings for Dylan out in the open but when he does its just magic! These two authors together are perfection, the way they write, you feel like you're right there watching this couple navigate they're new relationship. I am a definite huge fan of Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine, I can't wait to listen to the rest of this series. The narrator Charlie David, just blew me away with his voice. I think my Iphone may have melted just a tad with some certain scenes! You won't be disappointed giving this audio a try, both in story and the narrator!

Sweet Daddy

This book has one of my favourite tropes: Ageplay, Daddy/Boy. Colt was the perfect Daddy for his boy Derek, The dynamic between the two was perfect. Caring, love and trust is so important in this type of relationship and these two MC's definitely built a solid relationship on those feelings. The hot steamy scenes just added to an already amazing story, Carly Marie has fast become one of my favourite authors and I'm sure will continue to be for a long tome to come.

In my own personal opinion I wish I could say I loved this narrator as much as the story but alas I cannot. For me it lacked an emotional tone in his voice that I listen for and need, to enjoy any story. I'm also sorry to say the voices were certainly not distinctive enough to decifer each character. I absolutley loved reading this book and will continue to read future books by this author but for me personally I didn't enjoy the narration/audio version.

His Sweet Boy!

It was so nice to come back to Marcus and Eric's story. These two are just the perfect "Daddy" and "Baby Boy" together. I can't get enough of how devoted, loving and patient Marcus has been throughout with his sweet boy Eric. They have both finally settled into their relationship, Marcus being his Daddy/Dom self just shines through as he lovingly helps guide Eric to be what he was always meant to be, Daddy's little boy. I'm so happy Eric has become much more confidant, embracing his role, going after what he wants and trying things even though they may be uncomfortable. He is just the sweetest! My favorite scene is at the end in the nursery with both of them, that's all I can say without spoilers.
M.A. Innes for me is the Queen of M/M Age Play, her stories and characters just grab a hold of you from chapter one and you just don't want the story to end. Add in the brilliant voice of Kenneth Obi just enhances this story ten fold, no other narrator could have done this story justice. Highly recommend! I'm really hoping we'll get more about these two in the future, I'll keep my fingers crossed. Congrats M.A. Innes, just an amazing M/M Age Play love story!

Love Me Daddy

I'm fairly new to this genre, not something I thought I would enjoy reading but Marcus and Eric just stole my heart. Marcus(Daddy) was nothing but patient and loving, guiding Eric through his emotions and helping him learn to ask and accept what he wanted for his life.
Eric was just so damn cute and shy, I loved him. The Daddy play was very well thought out and written in a way you wouldn't be turned off with scenes involving diapers, bottles and pacifiers. With the loving and hot relationship between these two, I found the Age play just enhanced the story. I'm glad the author decided to do two books for this story, it needs to be told in its own way and one book wouldn't have been enough. I would love to hear more from these characters and hope I will maybe in the future.

The narrator Kenneth Obi is new to me, he did a fantastic job with all the voices, you can hear the love and emotion come across very well. I would love to listen to more from him.

I would highly recommend this audio book, M.A. Innes did a great job bringing Marcus and Eric's story to life. I can't wait to read and listen for more.

Sloane Kennedy, A True Talent!!

This is one of my favourite Sloane Kennedy books. Joel Leslie did an ok job, I didn't find his performance as good in this book as he did in Salvation. His voice is a hit or miss for me and this time around it was a miss. I loved the story and characters especially little Matty, he's just too adorable. Don't miss this incredibly amazing story!

Another Amazing Addition To This Series

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely, The story grabs you right from the get go and keeps you involved right to the end.

Who was your favorite character and why?
I did love both MC's but Ronan was my favorite. The hell and heartbreak he went through was tremendous but he was healed by Seth, who he knew deep down was his all consuming love and soulmate.

Have you listened to any of Joel Leslie’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
The only other one I've listened to of his was the first in this series. I was NOT impressed the first time around. His nasally voice drove me crazy and I couldn't really differentiate the characters voices. Everyone deserves a second chance so I sat down and listened intently and I was THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED. He did an amazing job for the second book in this series, there was much more emotion and I could certainly hear the different tones in the voices. I know he's on board to do the whole series and I will look forward to those.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were a few funny spots not too many. Some parts most definitely made me cry and all books by Sloane Kennedy usually bring out strong emotions for me.

Any additional comments?
Sloane Kennedy is an incredibly talented author and this book is just another example of her amazing story writing talent. The audio aspect just adds another layer to these stories and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this one. Listening to or reading the first book is not necessary but to get the full enjoyment of this series I would start with book one. My opinion of the first attempt of this narrator voicing the start of this series is personal only, you may certainly have a different listening experience than I. Like I said above I gave Joel Leslie a second chance and it paid off for me, he was awesome!

Amazing Story That Will Touch Your Heart

What made the experience of listening to Absolution the most enjoyable?

Just the fact that her amazing story was brought to life. Despite a small problem I had with the narrator, her writing shone through and made me want to continue listening until the very end.

What other book might you compare Absolution to and why?

For me there is no comparison. Sloane Kennedy is an amazing author and her stories grab you from the very beginning and don't let go until you see the words "The End" Then she gives you a teaser for her next story and you think "Now I have to wait in anticipation for the next great addition"

What about Joel Leslie’s performance did you like?

I just want to say this in my own personal opinion and others may have a different listening experience.I was a little disappointed in the tone of voice that he used for two of the main characters, Mace and Cole. To me personally it came off as this upper class snobby tone. I also found at times there wasn't much to differentiate between the two voices. It got marginally better as the story progressed but for me it could have been done much better. The third main character Jonas, was done very well as were the other additional side characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I have read this book before on my Kindle and it always brings out many emotions for me because of how the author writes the story. The audio version was no different but could have been much better for me personally if the narrator's tone had been different.

Like I mentioned before Sloane Kennedy's stories are amazing and you would be missing out if you passed on any of her books, Kindle or audio. I would definitely recommend this audiobook and any others she may release in the future.
