Historia
The Beijing Duck House in Rockville, Maryland, is not only a beloved go-to setting for hunger pangs and celebrations; it is its own world, inhabited by waiters and kitchen staff who have been fighting, loving, and aging within its walls for decades. When disaster strikes, this working family’s controlled chaos is set loose, forcing each character to confront the conflicts that fast-paced restaurant life has kept at bay.

Sometimes you get a bad one...
Revisado: 07-05-18
At least the narrator was very good. The story lacked depth and the characters had no redeeming qualities. I couldn't wait to get to the end of the book...for all the wrong reasons. I won't recommend to friends or family.

Historia
For fans of Louise Penny, C. J. Box, and Nevada Barr comes a haunting crime novel set in Glacier National Park, where one man finds himself on a collision course with the dark heart of the wild and the even darker heart of human nature.

Excellent story; R.C. Bray the perfect narrator
Revisado: 12-10-16
I was hooked on this story from the first chapter. The author does a great job of switching from present to past events in order to build the story of "damaged" protagonist. With a backdrop of Glacier National Park, and a plot containing unexpected, but plausible, twists, this is a great read or listen for most audiences.

Historia
The man on the moon was dead. They called him Charlie. He had big eyes, abundant body hair, and fairly long nostrils. His skeletal body was found clad in a bright red spacesuit, hidden in a rocky grave. They didn’t know who he was, how he got there, or what had killed him. All they knew was that his corpse was 50 thousand years old - and that meant this man had somehow lived long before he ever could have existed.

One of the best stories I have read this year!
Revisado: 12-12-14
Excellent, thought-provoking story. I liked the way the characters "evolved" by the end of the story, but loved the way the story made me think about our humanity. Just the right length (8-9 hours), so it was good for a long days' drive. Highly recommended.
