Historia
Most people, if asked, would deny that they'd ever had fantasy relationships, as they are associated with pretending to be with someone or in something that's nonexistent. However, it's time for you to change what you think you know. In this modern age of texts, email, Facebook, online dating, and casual relationships, it's never been so easy to find yourself in a crumb-filled fantasy relationship.

a great resource for any gender
Revisado: 03-10-21
As a man, everything the author is talking about here is so on point with what I experience in my life.
even for those who are non-binary, it is still relevant as we all tend to retreat into fantasy and dream up unrealistic expectations of a crush only to be disappointed and blame ourselves for it not working out.
For those of you who had an unfair childhood, this is THE book for you as the author understands attachment theory and how childhood development effect how we relate to others in the adult world.

Be careful
Revisado: 01-21-19
I agreed with some of the concepts. But there are some concepts by Machiavelli that are just straight up cold blooded. Its not the authors fault ad these ideas are based on the book "The Prince" by Machiavelli himself.
The book gets 5 stars for making the connection to the businesses world.

How to use this book to manage your wallet or 👛
Revisado: 03-29-18
I am just a musician, but I find it useful to learn the strategies to managing finances.
After reading this book, I feel inspired to look up templates thag turn my cash flow from something ambiguous into something tangible so I can forcast my spending decisions and side investments for the future.
I hope that after reading this book, I will be more aware of my current financial health, and that this increased awareness will influence my decision to dump my hard earned cash at the local strip club; I know it sounds crazy, but I think having a vision about how you want to use your finances with the help of a balance sheet will dictacte how you will spend it, that is, as long as you are looking to multiply and grow your finances.
As a looser in the stock market and a big spender in counterproductive services (to say the least), I have made it a habit of not monitering my funds. This habit makes me spend more and not feel the pain of destroying my finances. Through the lessons from this book, It is interesting seeing how big businesses fail to moniter their finances, and consequently end up missing payroll, which is the bottom lone for a business to function. So it is good to see that I am not the only one with money mismanagement problems.
I look forwars to using balance sheet concept, which is traditionally intended for business, to manage my peraonal finances.
I guess the big question is this: are you, yourself, just a person with money to spend, or are you a business entity with money to manage and grow over time. Ask yourself, what are your overhead costs? what is your personal annual P & L? What are your current retail cash equivalents and collateral on hand? What are your assets and liabilities? What strategies do you have on hand that will grow your profit and decrees loss? Is it time for a personal 6th sigma overhaul?
These are questions that a typical business would ask, but the question for you is: do you think these concepts can apply to your personal financial health? - Come up with three ways you can apply the balance sheet concept to your personal finances.

This book was more about questions directed to the author rather than the art of creating good questions. Beware that this book is centered around the John Maxwell leadership group. At least the first part of the book talks about the benifits of good question making..

Revisado: 02-14-18
This book is geared towards college cats and people looking for internships at venture capital firms. There were some good points in the beginning, but later on it was information I just didn't find useful; its more suited for someone trying to land a job at a capital investment firm.

You can decide when to work and when not to work. You only answer to yourself. That is the life of the successful day trader. Many people aspire to it, but very few succeed. In the audiobook, I describe the fundamentals of day trading, explain how day trading is different from other styles of trading and investment, and elaborate on important trading strategies that many traders use every day.

He gives some advice. Cool. But the book is designed to get you to join his online community. This is some good elusive market strategy on his part.
The other comments you see on this audiobook look artificial. I think they are people who are already a part of his website trying to boast the book to a higher level than it actually is, which is just a way to market his website.

Historia
The science of emotion is in the midst of a revolution on par with the discovery of relativity in physics and natural selection in biology. Leading the charge is psychologist and neuroscientist Lisa Feldman Barrett, whose research overturns the long-standing belief that emotions are automatic, universal, and hardwired in different brain regions. Instead, Barrett shows, we construct each instance of emotion through a unique interplay of brain, body, and culture.

Thought provoking, with a bit of political agenda.
Revisado: 02-07-18
3/4 of the book is scientific discovery, 1/4 is her trying to change the judicial system, and her trying to use her emotion concepts to convince us that eating animals is bad because they possibly have emotions like humans. This leads me to speculate that this book was written for the sole purpose of furthering her political agenda.
The added judicial argument was acceptable, but the animal stuff she talks about was just a repeat of what basically all my vegitarian peers say: "eating meat is bad because meat has feelings too".

Be an asset to your company, not a liability.
Revisado: 01-01-18
My impression: the One Minute Manager Revised Edition taught me how to tackle assumptions in the workplace. The two key words that were mentioned are: Competence & commitment. The author, through the use of fictional writing, expresses the need to evaluate your own levels of competence and commitment when dealing with a task of any kind. For example, after finishing the book, I asked myself these questions: Am I a self reliant achiever at this task? Or am I at a place where I must rely on others to assist me in a situation where there is uncertainty? A self leader realises their strength and weaknesses and is willing to ask for what they need in order to get the job done. The opposite of this is just quitting the job by assuming you just are not cut out for it. Did you ask for what your needs are? Do you need coaching, or support? Have you leveraged your relationships with supportive individuals who can give you the insights needed to solve what you thought was an impossible problem? These are some of the questions that the book has inspired me to ask myself.
This reminds me of the distinction between an infant child and a self leader. I wont compare a child to an adult, because unfortunately, there is clear evidence that a person who is mature in age can still display childish behavior when faced with a difficult task. So what is the difference between childish mentality and self leadership mentality? A child must wait for its needs to come to it voluntarily. The child does this by crying and complaining till it gets what it wants. The self leader, on the other hand, does not complain or cry when his/her needs are unmet, but rather, the self leader is proactive in seeking the insights needed to achieve a specific goal. For example, if you go to your superior and all youndo is cry and complain, then you are employing the tactics of a infant child; however, of you ask your superiors for insight, and clearly state what your needs are for particular project, then you are representing the behavior of a self leader.
Self leader = asset; Cry baby = liability
Be an asset, not a liability. Which one are you?

From an artists perspective
Revisado: 11-27-17
This book pretty much lays out the entire framework for product innovation. As a musician who has virtually no formal business training, I found this book to be accessible because the author is very good at explaining all the business acronyms and foundational concepts. He also re-introduces material in previous chapters just in case you forget a step in say for example the stage gate process.
As a musician, I find these types of books very addicting, as my life depends on this knowlage of coming up with innovative ideas, so this information can be used in other facets of life.
The author also seems to be a fan of the ancient chinese treatise, "The Art of War", written by military strategist Sun Tzu. Indeed, successful businesses are those that employ strategy, just like any army general would use strategy to survive in the battlefield. The good thing is this 17 hour audio program is all about employing innovation strategy to compete with, or rather, surpass your competition. Some of the ideas that the author expresses have the potential to drive a competitors out of business, that is, if your competitor is unaware of the value of product innovation.
The next author that I will have to check out in response to this audio program is Harvard business professer Michael E. Porter, which is an author that Robert G. Cooper mentions in his book with pride.
