This is great information and very helpful. She uses the F-word for every adjective and adverb. I am hoping someone with her education knows more words. It is very distracting!

Amazing Narration, Interesting Revisionist History

While this book is based on the fantasies in the writer mind, the narration by Meryl Streep makes it worth a listen.

Interesting Premise, Well Written and Read!

Loved the Narrator! She did a great job of bringing the characters to life. The literary device the author uses (alot!) "this = that" is a slightly annoying. The story is a unique take on the Post-Apocalyptic theme. I loved the updates she gave on the side characters, I hate when authors do not tie-up loose ends. AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY

Not the normal bryson book!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I prefer those books read by Bill himself. Not a huge fan of the narrator. The story seems to meander and not in the usual Bryson.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Nathan Osgood?
Bill Bryson - I love the few audiobooks I have that he read himself.
Any additional comments?
I am a huge Bryson fan. This has been a huge disappointment.
