Historia
A chance meeting. A hunky hockey player. A fake romance. Hardly an ordinary day in the life of Poppy Hart. My days usually consist of agonizing over my failing restaurant, worrying about my mountain of debt, and nursing my broken heart. Everything changes when I bump into a man in the coffee shop and claim him as my new boyfriend. To my absolute horror, he turns out to be hockey's most renowned bad boy, Dallas Burke. To my absolute delight, he goes along with my story.

Inhalations have me not finishing.
Revisado: 02-01-25
Loved the bit of the story I could listen to but the female narrators inhalations are HORRIBLE! This is an issue with production…. I am sure some people can listen past it, but I couldn’t.

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Not sure I understand the hype
Revisado: 07-17-23
This book could’ve been great. The story is fun and the action sequences had me entertained.
The narrator is clearly sick for most of the reading….and I can’t understand why they allowed that to happen.
The heroine is emotionally immature and dramatic. I don’t believe there was enough character development to support her being that incapable of managing her emotions. I hate when women look weak cause authors think we will buy “I loved you 2 minutes ago but now I’m mad” tantrums to otherwise strong female characters.

Fun to listen to!

This was a fun story! Yes, a little unbelievable, but it’s fiction. I love the characters and the plot.

Sad, predictable, but fun to listen to!
Revisado: 06-25-23
It was a great story, but it was basically the intersection of hallmark and the psych ward. I felt that the ending fell flat, so much detail to end so quickly. Those are all the negative aspects. I thought it served the purpose of a great book to entertain. Sad to think that these institutions were prevalent for so long!
