Historia
Studies show that nearly 70 percent of divorces are initiated by women—women who are tired, fed up, exhausted, and unhappy. We’ve all seen how the media portrays divorcées: sad, lonely, drowning their sorrows in a bottle of wine. Lyz Lenz is one such woman whose life fell apart after she reached a breaking point in her twelve-year marriage. But she refused to take part in that tired narrative and decided to flip the script on divorce.

Must read

I wish my mother could have handed me this book. Reading this at an early age would have been helpful and insightful.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

A true love story
Revisado: 05-10-23
Harry met Meg via a friend on Instagram and she rescued him from a family that has a toxic pecking order. His mother was killed by the paparazzi and he makes damn sure to keep his family safe and not to repeat the cycle. Leaving his country was not made easy for him and Meg and that was all part of the plan, but they made it out. I am also proud of his service to his country and all the good work he and Meg will continue to do. Lastly, it was something to learn how hard it is to fly an Apache helicopter. Harry is a true prince and I know his Grandmother loved him so.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Jennette is Brave
Revisado: 04-01-23
And probably all the words on her mother's tomb stone. This memoir gives the reader the lens of what it is like to be a child star and it is a very sad cautionary tale. I hope SAG has updated rules and regulations to keep children safe.

Historia
At twenty-eight, fresh from Stanford’s MBA program and steeped in the move-fast-and-break-things ethos of Silicon Valley, Andy Dunn was on top of the world. He was building a new kind of startup—a digitally native, direct-to-consumer brand—out of his Manhattan apartment. Bonobos was a new-school approach to selling an old-school product: men’s pants. Against all odds, business was booming.

I am recommending this book to all my friends and family. We all need the education and the compassion. Thank you, Andy Dunn for sharing this with all of us.
