Historia
Once upon a time, I made a deal with the devil. It turns out I like playing in the dark. Over the years, I’ve become someone I’m proud of, someone dangerous. I’ll never be as dangerous as Malone, though. She’s one of the most feared leaders in Carver City, and her reputation is more than earned.

Not bad but not great
Revisado: 08-20-23
Love sapphic stories that are enemies to lovers with spice. There were a lot of different characters but not a huge story line, had potential though.
For me a narrator can make or break a book. Both narrators were good but Malone made this book better.

Historia
The only thing that frightens shapeshifter Selene Rhodes more than the full moon is the idea of falling in love. Selene Rhodes has lived her whole life with a terrible secret: not only can she take the form of any animal at will, but once a month the full moon transforms her into a fierce wolf-creature without a human conscience. Managing her condition means living by a strict routine, and more importantly, abstaining from intimate relationships with human beings.

Sapphic romance with spice
Revisado: 05-24-23
I love sapphic super natural books. Grateful that it wasn’t a slow burn, age gap, or coming out story.
It has just the right amount of spice, romance, humor, and sadness.
Not a whole lot of adventure or “page turning” gotta find out what happens next but also not completely predictable.
I loved Alexandria’s narration, it added depth to the characters and it was easy to tell the difference between the characters. Her voice was perfect.

Cute sapphic romance
Revisado: 03-19-23
I do love wlw romances and I enjoyed that it wasn’t a coming out story and there was no negative vibes that they were a same sex couple.
The story line was kinda unique with a lil plot twist towards the end. Although the plot twist wasn’t unique, I didn’t see it coming. There was a small amount of spice that wasn’t dragged out in details. And of course I love happy endings
The characters were enjoyable. Emily was my favorite. She was sweet with the right amount of sass. I didn’t fully understood why Emily who is portrayed as a mature, independent, decisive adult in the beginning would allow Ruby’s mother to control her so easily. The narrator for Emily did wonders in helping portray Emily’s personality.
I mostly enjoyed Ruby’s character. Idk if the author meant for Ruby to seem so all over. It’s almost as though she was suppose to be confident and reversed on the outside but struggling on the inside due to her mothers negativity.
But often Rubys responses/actions came off childish and didn’t match with the plot. I’m not sure if it’s because that’s how the character was written or if it seemed that way because of the narrator.
Ruby’s narrator was hard to listen to at first. There lacked any emotion, it was rushed, and almost always angry. (And I’m from NY, where we’re considered rude for being blunt, fast talking, and lacking interest in small talk)
However, adjusting the speed of the narrators helped greatly.
I know narrating takes a great deal of time and effort, but I think this audio book might of been better with just one narrator.

Great sapphic story
Revisado: 01-23-23
Author did a great job with the chemistry between the characters. Loved the amount of spiciness🌶️🌶️. I’m not sure if I loved the characters because of the author or the Narrator. The narrator‘s voices definitely made the book that much better. Could listen all day.

Love all of Emilia’s books in the Alpha series.
Huge fan of fantasy and spicy love stories.
I so enjoy that the main female character is strong, smart, and sassy as hell.
And I absolutely love the narrators voice, Stacy Hill may be my favorite

Great sapphic story
Revisado: 01-02-23
Truly was a good book. It was a great sapphic love story that had originality.
The main story line wasn’t about the struggles of being gay, which was refreshing.
You could actually feel the connection between all the characters. Though the voice change for some of the characters was off putting.
Perfect amount of foe to lover, adventures, spiciness, self doubt, action, and a little twisted darkness.
Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 was sometimes I felt like it was dragging on.. Either too descriptive, double backing, or kind of irrelevant to current situation
