Felt more like a young adult book

As a female POC who is obsessed with hockey and who is a die hard Canucks fan, this should’ve been a perfect book for me. Sadly, it was not. I don’t think this book fully knew what it wanted to be and in turn that made Ash’s character and character development a bit chaotic. Personally I think this book desperately needed a male POV because we got way too much of Ash’s internal thoughts and that didn’t do the book any favors since she was so wishy washy. As for the narrator she was great but her male voices were not great. I’m glad I read this just for the canucks aspect alone but I do wish there was an epilogue, this book desperately needed one of those as well.

I’ve read almost every LLV book and have read all but one book in this series. I honestly have not been feeling the last couple releases but this one was so good, a little OTT but that’s what I love about her books! So glad this one went back to her roots!

Honestly even to the very end Alex was the worst and this relationship is doomed. All I can think is poor drake, he traded in a physically abusive boyfriend for a mentally and emotionally abusive one… just yikes. If a man makes you cry and blame every issue on you that is not love.
I definitely need to give up on this author, I hate more of her book than I actually like.

Man I loved the first book in the series, like so much because Enzo is just so lovable. Then I read the second book and it was pretty good. But this, this was AWFUL. I’m not a fan or second chance romances but im an even lesser fan of these push and pull books. Like you’re 36 years old, you still shouldn’t be acting like you’re in high school. Also Dom is such a dirt bag and it got to a point where I just couldn’t do anymore. Save your credit and pass on this one.
