Historia
Look, when I met the sexy, witty Brit on the streets of London last night, I had no idea who he was. He was just that hot guy I wanted to have a drink with, so I asked him out for my first evening in town. One thing almost led to another. After a midnight kiss, we made plans for a whole lot more the next day. But when I unlock the door to my rental in the morning, the English hottie is lounging on the couch like he lives here too. Great. For the next year, I’ll be sharing a tiny flat with the sexiest guy I’ve ever known.

Awful ending. Shameless attempt to force you into buying the next book.
Revisado: 07-31-24
The story just ends in the middle with a fight, leaving you to have to buy the next book. It is her worst book imo and will definitely keep me from just buying another of hers.

Historia
Bennett Cole had lived next door to Mitchell "Mac" Campbell, III for 18 years of his life, in the small town of White Acre. They'd never gotten along, never seen eye to eye, and never understood one another, not that they'd ever cared to try. But when Bennett's so-called buddies ditched him at a party in the woods where he was assaulted and left for dead, Bennett pulled through. The emotional scars rendered him too terrified to go back to school and face his "friends" or his attackers. With little choice, his family packed up and left town.

Princess
Revisado: 04-09-24
By the last third of the book, I was over the use of the word “Princess”. I feel the title of the book should’ve been Princess. It just made me cringe every time it was used by the end of the book. Maybe it’s just me, but I find it a little insulting when guys are called princess, regardless of whether or not it’s meant as a term of endearment.

My name is Hudson Newgate, but my teammates call me "New Guy". That was my nickname in Chicago, too. And Vancouver. That’s what happens when you keep getting traded. Brooklyn is my last chance, especially after my poor performance last season.

Kelvin Wiltshire lives the life of a simple cook in a remote village on the far side of Trendham. On cold winter nights, they share rumors of the bloody conflict and the mysterious death of Will Cartwright, the mighty mage who had the power to command storms. They like the new cook. They fear the fallen king. But the two men are one and the same.

As good as every other Manning book
Revisado: 11-03-23
I tend to not waste my time writing reviews but after seeing so many negative reviews based on political views or ignorance and homophobia, I felt it deserved a more fair review. This was a great book and a great continuation of the characters we all enjoyed from previous books. Anyone that’s read or listened to a Michael Manning book can expect more of the same. A very well written and entertaining read/listen. The criticism from homophobes/trump supporters is absurd. This is not a political story in any way. There is no secret agenda. And the fact that a character is gay, which imo makes him more interesting, doesn’t mean the author is trying to push some (made up in your own mind) agenda on you.
And I can’t wait for the next.

However, that easy job becomes much more complicated once Nils arrives in Los Angeles, a disorienting place where the sunshine hides dark secrets. Nils quickly suspects that Ebben Mayer’s fiancée was murdered and that Ebben himself may have been the target.

Narrator was garbage
Revisado: 08-24-23
If you like turning your volume up and down constantly then this is the book for you. Narrator has given the secondary character a mumbling whispering voice(to characterize him as depressed?) the entire book.

Historia
When an experiment to study quantum uncertainty goes spectacularly wrong, physics student Bill Rustad and his friends find that they have accidentally created an inter-dimensional portal. They connect to Outland - an alternate Earth with identical geology, but where humans never evolved. The group races to establish control of the portal before the government, the military, or evildoers can take it away. Then everything changes when the Yellowstone supervolcano erupts in an explosion large enough to destroy civilization and kill half the planet.

MC needs to die in chapter 1
Revisado: 01-19-23
Kill Bill! This character destroys any small enjoyment I could pull from this book. Toward the last half of the book, I was just begging for it to be over. The author clearly sees himself as Bill, the hero. The savior. The comedic relief. The know-it-all.
Just had me cringing every time he spoke or anyone spoke of the Great Bill.

Narration was abysmal
Revisado: 08-31-22
This was hands down the worst narrator I’ve ever suffered through. Between the cringe acting and inaudible whispering, causing me to rewind and blast volume to understand, I just couldn’t stay focused on the story. Dean Koontz is my favorite author but this is his first book I’ve not enjoyed. I recommend the non-audible version for this one.
