Compassionate and Funny Page Turner
Revisado: 02-19-23
The story is really well written, you never know what is going to happen next. The humour is great, the way the author makes himself the victim of his own jokes. Compassionate view of the child who was a victim of the legal system, money and self important people.

Historia
For the reasonable price of $1, Natalie Malone just bought herself an abandoned villa on the Amalfi Coast. With a detailed spreadsheet and an ancient key, she's arrived in Italy ready to renovate—and with only six months to do it. Which seemed reasonable until architect Pietro Indelicato began critically watching her every move. From the sweeping ocean views to the scent of the lemon trees, there's nothing Pietro loves more than his hometown. And after seeing too many botched jobs and garish design choices, he's done watching from the sidelines.

I can’t listen to this narrator
Revisado: 02-09-23
I’ve only listened to 1/2 hour of this book and I can’t listen to this book any longer because of her. It sounds like she’s reading to a class of 5 year olds. Too bad because the story sounded interesting.

I hate cliff hangers
Revisado: 08-19-16
What disappointed you about The Angel?
I'm really disappointed with the way the ending of this story is left hanging. I would normally have bought the next book in this series because I enjoy the series but I don't like being bribed to get the next book and I found the lack of a conclusion very frustrating.
What was most disappointing about Mark Dawson’s story?
I enjoy a story that has a conclusion to it and, since I read for pleasure, a book without a conclusion is not what I'm interested in. Really, the book is not that long, it's not like the story would have been too long without a conclusion.
What does Napoleon Ryan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I find his voice is pleasant and his reading helps me to better visualize what's happening.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Angel?
I find the description of islamic hatred of infidels annoyingly long, this could have been cut back in length.
Any additional comments?
I like the Mark Dawson characters John, Beatrix and Isabella. I particularly like John's struggle with alcohol, it's interesting.
