Middling lit rpg, a bit chauvinistic and unnecessarily horny

The book relies to heavily on lit rpg themes of describing the fantasy world in terms of videogame rpg terms. The main character has few flaws and doesn't really grow or learn as a person throughout the novel. Female characters are poorly thought out. Exploring of any interesting sci-fi themes is light at best and the real world is abandoned almost immediately and with little fanfair. How the real world is affected if it all is ignored save for monetary rewards.
If you use litrpgs like me as boring prose to help you sleep then this is a good choice.

Loving this series.

One of the best litrpg books I have read. I could use a little bit more progression with the plot though. The ending does hint at some future progression so that's good. Litrpgs as a genre do tend to meander around the mechanics of their world a bit to much and this is no exception but I hope the pace picks up.

An Isekai mmorpg dystopian future w/ Lovecraftian undertones.

This book pulls together several genres and does a good job of it. Stat block info dumps are boring and make for dull dead space in the audio format but it is forgivable. Overall very creative and fun.

Escaping a dystopia via Isekai only to stumble in lovecraftian horror

Great book exploring three different genres. It is a little bogged down by the mmo rpg jargon. I don’t really care about what level each individual skill is at at every moment. Also author could of used more diverse gaming jargon if keeping that in. Any gamer would call a skill that doesn’t have a level an attribute, trait, or feat etc. Calling every “skill” the same term is odd for informed gamers and drops you out of your suspension of disbelief in a jarring way.
Will continue to read the follow up regardless.

I really enjoyed the book but the plot doesn’t really resolve at all. The book just kind of ends abruptly.
