Dark and Enthralling

Aleron Kong is an amazing author. I'm currently up to date on "The Land" series he has also written and I can absolutey recommend this new title and begining. This first book of God's Eye is dark, brutal, and yet also endearing. It touches on topics that not everyone tends to think about and is thus ideal for making you think deeply while also being entertained by the story itself. So, if you've got the ability I suggest supporting this title and others by Aleron Kong. You won't regret it!

So this installment of my addiction did not last long enough; which is the way of things we like. I am feeling the crescendo of our story reaching the top as I feel we must be getting near the final boss. So much has happened to our characters that I hope when it is all said and done they all get to go to Disney World. War on all sides our heroes are up against vast numbers, of course aren't they always. If you like stories with magic, fighting, faeries, and maybe a demon or two; then you need to pick up the Vesik series.

Still following Vesik and his motley crew of misfits. Not sure that the characters in this story get enough sleep. I like that each book flows right into the next and we don't have to imagine long periods of down time. Vesik and his crew keep on fighting the good fight while the world goes to hell around them. I liked the description of the burning lands and how it helps flesh out Asher's worlds. If you haven't read any of this series go get books 1 through 4 and catch up.

The surprise that keeps on giving

I got hooked on this series its that simple. I think for me it is the characters; I feel invested in them and want to keep on hearing their story. Its not a straight forward story and while you should be able to guess some things, "Never trust a fairy" you don't see it all coming. I like the authors interpretation of necromancers.

Supersizingly good book

I picked this series up on a whim and am very glad I did. I really got into the story and got involved with the characters. At first I found myself comparing it to other books or stories such as Dresden but it did not take long for it to set itself aside as its on entity to me. Now I can not wait for the other books to come out.

My only complaint is that I am finished reading it. I absolutely love Ian Tregillis writing style. It is not possible to pack any more detail into the story.
