Matthew Mercer and Harris Sandler are playing a mysterious game. It's a game almost no one knows about: not their friends, not their coworkers, and certainly not their bosses, who are some of the most powerful senators and congressmen on Capitol Hill.

First disappointing story
Revisado: 11-28-18
I have really liked all of the books by Baldacci I have read, until this one. It just left me feeling indifferent. His other books have always left me wanting more.

Historia
This is the infamous follow-up to Serial Uncut, featuring 21 different serial killers. For everyone who thinks the bad guys are so much more fun to read than the good guys, we’ve written a novel just for you. In the annuls of modern thriller fiction, the villains always steal the show. We love to read and watch great villains. In many cases, they’re the best, most entertaining parts of our books, so it only made sense to write a book featuring every major villain we’ve ever written.

This book is a terrific insight into the characters of all three authors. A few years ago when I first listened to this book I had never read anything by these authors, now I have read almost everything they have written.

Historia
Will Robie escaped his small Gulf Coast hometown of Cantrell, Mississippi, after high school, severing all personal ties, and never looked back. Not once. Not until the unimaginable occurs. Unlike the missions Robie undertook in the service of his country, where his target was clearly defined, digging into his father's case only reveals more questions. Robie is drawn into the hidden underside of Cantrell, where he must face the unexpected and possibly deadly consequences of the long-ago choices made by father and son.

Story excellent, Narration disappointing.
Revisado: 10-20-18
As always Will Robie does not disappoint. I wish I could say the same for the narrator. The first three books narrated by Ron McLarty, we're great but now that the narrator has changed it doesn't even seem like the same characters. Throws the whole listening experience off.

A bit disappointed
Revisado: 10-17-18
I was excited to be listening to the 4th John Puller novel until I actually started listening to it. The wonderful narration I have become accustomed to during the first 3 books was extremely lacking here. This audio version was not very enjoyable.

Not what I expected
Revisado: 06-23-13
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
No, not really, because, even though I love the House of Night books, this one does not have any impact on the other books.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I expected more insight into how Neferet turned evil.
What didn’t you like about Caitlin Davies’s performance?
I just really dont like a female or male reading for the opposite sex.
Did Neferet's Curse inspire you to do anything?
No.
Any additional comments?
I wanted to know more about why Neferet became evil. Perhaps her story once she had been at the House of Night, as a student then as an instructor. Why did she choose the darkness? All in all the story was a disappointment.

A More Mellow Santangelo Novel
Revisado: 06-23-13
Would you listen to Goddess of Vengeance again? Why?
Perhaps at a later date yes. I would like to read all the Santangelo novels in order.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Lucky has always been my favorite. She is what every woman dreams of being.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of the narrators?
The cast was fine except for the voice of Lucky. I was very disappointed. I didnt expect the accent or the age in her voice. It was actually a let down.
Any additional comments?
The Santangelo novels hits us like fireworks. I guess it is to be expected that as the characters age, the story mellows. In the last two novels though I kept expecting more edge of your seat reading. I still enjoyed the book though.
