Historia
From the Stooges and MC to Grand Funk Railroad and Ted Nugent, to the White Stripes, Eminem, and Kid Rock, and whole casts of other great bands and performers, Detroit has always produced louder, more rumbling, more subversive rock music than any city in the world. In Detroit Rock City, listeners get to hear the stories straight from the participants themselves: the singers, the guitar slingers, the fans, the reporters, the promoters, even the guys who hand-made amps to be louder and crunchier than the competition’s.

Rather boring
Revisado: 05-18-23
Just a bunch of interview snippets. The narration becomes tedious. Having grown up in the burbs of Detroit in the 60’s, somehow I expected more.

Historia
The Bodies of Others is about how we came to the harrowing civilizational crossroads at which we find ourselves—engaged in a war against vast impersonal forces with limitless power over our lives and which threaten the freedoms we have always taken for granted. In her most provocative book yet, Dr. Naomi Wolf shows how these forces—from Big Tech and Big Pharma to the CCP and our oligarchical elites—seized upon two years of COVID-19 panic in sinister new ways, to not only undermine our republic but to fundamentally reorient human relations.

Thorough, well researched and thought provoking…terribly narrated. Kudos to Naomi Wolf for being principled and doing the right thing.

Historia
Have you ever known someone who can instantly connect with anyone? Having the ability to start and hold conversations with ease, no matter who this person meets, he or she manages to create a sense of trust and understanding within a matter of minutes. We can intuitively believe that this is a natural gift - either you can build rapport like this, or you can't. However, this isn't correct: developing rapport is a skill that anyone can learn and use.

Was that a robot narrating tis?
Revisado: 03-07-16
The content of this eBook is spot on. Anyone could benefit from it. Unfortunately it sounds like it's being read by a robot which becomes very distracting. I'd like to share it with my kids, however knowing my 17 year old I'm concerned he'd turn it off after the first 30 seconds.
My recommendation: find a more natural narrator. Other than that: 5 stars
