Historia
Following the devastating attack on Yaresh, its people are left to pick up the pieces. The city lies in ruins, but its decimated defenders have more to deal with than just reconstruction. Jason's actions during the battle have brought unwelcome attention from allies and enemies alike. While the adventurers question his loyalty, the messengers question his very nature. Both have designs on Jason that he intends to thwart, but a danger comes to light that shifts everyone's agenda.

Jason and friends talk about Jason...
Revisado: 12-04-23
...over and over. 3/4ths of the book is expounding upon Jason both by himself and through his friends and enemies. Mixed in there is a healthy dose of repetition. I'm giving the authors one more shot to turn around cause this kind of neckbeard fantasy writing is tiresome. don't listen to the paid reviews

Great narration, eye rolling writing.
Revisado: 02-04-22
R.C. Bray is great as always, and while I'm a new listener to the series and existing characters, I still felt the repeitivness of loss and trauma became eye rolling. For the 6th time in a chapter, I don't need to be told of how much this character's actions will help determine the fate of a nation, or how it was reminiscent of a mission, or reminiscent of loss, just like what was stated 3 chapters back by the same character.
However, suspenseful ending and is what will carry me on to the next book. Hopefully the writers will have more plot and action to focus on, rather than repetitive inner character thoughts.

The enemy is poised at the border with an overwhelming invasion force, and it will take wizards, soldiers and a young, untested princess to hold off defeat long enough for Koren to be trained and grow into his power. But he might not wish to help those who deceived him and destroyed his life.

Overpriced and often repetitive, but I love it
Revisado: 01-30-21
I really do love the series so far, I just wish it wasn't so repetitive for the price each book asks for.

Historia
Rumors of the seemingly magical victory that allowed the Exodus of Israelites from Egypt have resonated through the archaeological world for decades. Now evidence has been discovered that explains how the ancient Hebrews destroyed the unstoppable army of Pharaoh - a tribe of warriors who disappeared after the destruction of the City of Jericho, taking with them the most valued treasures of a people without a homeland. Today a treasure of a different kind is unearthed at the lost ruins of Jericho, one that will change the history of God’s Chosen people for all time - the petrified remains of an animal that could not exist.

Great as always
Revisado: 06-05-20
But I have to say it took so much longer getting to the revealing part of the mysteries and climax than usual. While answering all questions and such, it felt really delayed.
