Historia
Miah Gray is a 27-year-old former army soldier living in rural New Hampshire with his sister, mother, and her boyfriend. He is plagued by PTSD, finding solace, but not redemption, with the aid of prescribed cannabis. All he wants to do is get high, relax with a good sandwich, and watch a meteor shower with his neighborhood crush, Jen. When the sun's light is blotted out the following morning and the world is plunged into darkness, Miah finds himself locked down with his family, covering windows with trash bags, lighting candles, and following the arcane rules of an ancient prophecy.

Fantastic!!
Revisado: 07-16-21
I absolutely loved this! Although Sci-fi is not my favorite genre, Jeremy Robinson is one of my favorite authors. He doesn't disappoint, & this is novel is no different. The characters were well thought out & have depth. There was plenty of humanity with a lot of supernatural thrown in. I'm grateful for the focus on PTSD & ways to combat it, as there are so many suffering without relief today.
As always, R.C. Bray does a stellar job as Narrator! I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to be addicted for 10+ hours!

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

Great story!!
Revisado: 12-01-20
I'm not normally a big fan of authors who narrate their own books, but not only was this a great, heartbreaking book...but she did an excellent job of narrating. The story line got down to the nitty gritty of what addiction is like, the victims who suffered for it, the addicts themselves, who want to put the blame on others, & the hope that people who want to change can. This invoked all kinds of emotions in me...& isn't that really what a good book does?
Two thumbs up for this one!

I think this made it even better since I am a nurse, but I think I would have enjoyed almost as much if I wasn't a medical professional. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good story. I was given this book for free, to write an honest review. I would have gladly bought it or used a credit though. It's that good!!
