Historia
For war hero Caitlin Taggart, mining work on the Moon is dirty, low pay, and high risk. But no risk seems too extreme if it helps her return to Earth and the daughter she loves more than life itself. Offered a dangerous, long-shot chance to realize that dream, Caitlin will gamble with more than just her life. By leading a ragtag crew of miners on a perilous assignment to harvest an asteroid, Caitlin could earn a small fortune. More importantly, it would give her clearance to return to Earth.

Not worth the time, sorry.
Revisado: 04-19-22
The story was clunkily written with quite a few logic holes and overused cliches.
The narration wasn't bad, but wasn't great. A couple of mispronounced phrases and odd stresses and pauses, but far from the worst I've heard.

What’s the female characters name???

The performance distracted from the story
Revisado: 03-25-22
The female narrator paused frequently, randomly, and awkwardly. She broke up sentences and phrases, and really made this one hard to get through.
The story wasn't bad, but a bit simplistic for infinite multiple realities.

Historia
When she fell asleep, the world was doomed. When she awoke, it was dead. In the wake of a fever that decimated the earth's population - killing women and children and making childbirth deadly for the mother and infant - the midwife must pick her way through the bones of the world she once knew to find her place in this dangerous new one. Gone are the pillars of civilization. All that remains is power - and the strong who possess it.

The Commonwealth has fractured, its interstellar order breaking down into civil war. On one side is Hadrian, the outlaw king of Tyre, driven from his homeworld and forced into a fragile alliance with the colony worlds; on the other sits a parliament determined to restrain him at all costs. But her friend and former comrade Commodore William McElney has chosen to join the Houses of Parliament.

The hell of it is the writing is getting better...
Revisado: 01-10-22
...but the characters still use all the same phrases. The author is good at world building and setting up interesting stories, but he reuses the same phrases over and over. In his own words, "that only happens in bad movies!" With a good editor and more differentiated characters, this author has the potential for 5 star content.

Needs a good editor
Revisado: 11-12-21
If the author need to constantly say that plot points "only happen in bad movies," then maybe they shouldn't be in the story. Also, some specific phrases were used with multiple characters, taking away from their individuality. The performer also had a distracting accent that didn't mesh with the high-society characters.
There is some good world building and interesting themes. The book/author has potential, and with a good, heavy-handed editor this would have been a much better read.
