Historia
On the edge of the galaxy, a diplomatic mission to an alien planet takes a turn when the Legionnaires, an elite special fighting force, find themselves ambushed and stranded behind enemy lines. They struggle to survive under siege, waiting on a rescue that might never come. In the seedy starport of Ackabar, a young girl searches the crime-ridden gutters to avenge her father's murder; not far away, a double-dealing legionniare-turned-smuggler hunts an epic payday; and somewhere along the outer galaxy, a mysterious bounty hunter lies in wait.

incredible story, performance, and writing.
Revisado: 02-19-20
part one contains the first two books of this nine book series. the best two books of the series, the writing and story are incredible and the read performance by R.C Bray is always such a joy to listen to. I've listened to this audio book st least three times.

Historia
This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

Not sure why the reviews are so polar opposite.

boring.
Revisado: 01-22-19
I've listened to 4 hours of the book so far and have learned nothing of the characters or why I should care, or even what the book is about. the book is very poorly written in my opinion and it just wastes your time ranting on about pointless information. It also suffers from mentioning quite literally hundreds of things that they never explain to you, but all the characters understand, leaving you just left out of the whole story.

Historia
Young Twig lives in the Deepwoods, among the Woodtrolls, but he isn't one of them. In a brave attempt to find out where he belongs, Twig wanders into the mysterious, dangerous world beyond the Deepwoods. He meets a collection of odd companions, such as his wise guardian, the Caterbird; the Slaughterers, a peaceful race who butcher animals for their livelihood; and the vicious, bile-swilling Rotsucker.

Always loved the series
Revisado: 10-09-18
I read the whole original 3 trilogies over ten years ago and stumbled upon this and listened through it in one day. I loved this series as a kid and still love as an adult now. although twig is whiney in this book, I wish the narrarator didn't sound so annoying when voicing him.
