Lots of good stuff, but also lots of crap

I think his advice is very practical. I sometimes question the values he uses when applying the 80/20 principle, and the advice he gives in areas he has only limited experience in

RE Happiness. some of this is good, some of this is harmful. He seems to ignore people with different brain chemistry, and advocates just structurng your life differently, when in truth there are folks that really need the support of mental health experts. His ideas also may promote stigmas and it seems to assert that all choices are in the hands of the person, and is their own fault if they aren't happy.

I could go on. Just read the book with a big grains of salt, and apply the advice where it makes the most sense.

My elementary school-aged son says it was one of the best of the Fable Haven books so far. IMO, Seth has the most interesting plot arc, having to make the best of an impossible situation. He must explicitly choose who he will be. Kendra and friends are once again put in situations where grit and leaps of faith are required to triumph. This book, delivers many tense moments and a satisfying resolution, with new challenges over the horizon. My kiddo cannot wait for the next book in the series to arrive.

I am a geek, married to a normal person (aka "nuerotypical"). This book was full of comedy, insights, and situations that often felt uncomfortably close to home. The writing is from a self centered, easily triggered guy who hillariously illuminates what the heck he is thinking about while describing his struggle to be a better husband and dad. It also talks about how things got better for them as a couple once they both realized what was going on and how they could work together as to address/accept the situations created by the author's atypical nueral wiring. Although at times it was painfully cringey to read, there are other times that I literally (yes, I am using that word correctly) laughed out loud. The insights also helped me reflect on my own challenges from the more objective place, while seeing similar foibles in another person.

I love how Michelle weaves stories of her life, reflections on how her adversities shape her, and wisdom born from experience. She delves into what life is like in the South side of Chicago, the Whitehouse, and the tradeoffs that she had to make as the wife of a politician. Her message is one of optimism and patience in the face of difficult challenges. Definitely inspiring material.

I put off reading this book for a good long while. Now I am glad I did, as it is like discovering a hidden treasure when you think you have already found all of Sci fi's greatest discoveries.

Wil Weaton was the perfect narrator for this sci find gaming adventure. This hero's journey is loaded with nostalgic nods, social commentary, fantastic visions of what VR could be, and escapist fantasy. Very fun popcorn fun.

CPG Grey did a great YouTube synopsis of this book. Watch that appetizer, then come here for the main course. It starts a bit slow, but the principles remain consistent, enlightening and continuously relevant. I found that the book was depressing, but ultimately very useful for thinking about broad political realities. It does end with how to focus on what can be changed. So it will leave you on an optimistic note. Now I want to read a book that present s an alternative view point and test which principles hold up.

Well written, but slow moving. Also ends on a major cliffhanger. I was swearing at the author as I finished the book as he had not resolved the most important mysteries or conflicts.
