Great story horrible narrator

Book 2 of the Cordell Logan series does not disappoint. Following the conclusion of “Flat Spin” we follow our favorite sardonic Buddhist in a new adventure. The narrator however, leaves something to be desired. His monotonous dialogue and horrifying accents lose the listener especially when conversations are happening between the protagonist and other characters. I am glad to see that this is the only book in the series that does not have Ray Porter as the narrator.

I LOVE the Tier One series and the spin off Sons of Valor series. So I was excited to start this series from these two great authors. How horribly disappointed I was. This science fiction/horror genre is not for them. They need to stick to political thrillers of what they know. The story is dry and the characters are lifeless. The narrator is dry and does not use any infliction in his voice when reading different characters. That may be because I’m used to Ray Porter, but this was one of the worst narrators since Axe Norman.

I tried giving this another shot… the story is horrible, the narrator is even worse… Watch the Amazon Prime series.. it’s much better.

Normally the book is ALWAYS better than the movie/television series/ special, whatever. Not in this case. If I had a dollar for every “Okay?” “Right?” I would be a millionaire. The narrator is monotoned and horrendous. I found myself having to rewind all the time because I was falling asleep… glad to see things the only book he narrated.

What happen with Paul Boehmer voice? He did the Chronicles series and did a wonderful job voicing each character! In this he is Bland and no definition between the characters period what happen?

There were several times that the story skipped ahead, as if part of it wasn’t recorded or that it was missing sections. it only happened a few times but in one instance it skipped half a chapter.

LEARN HOW TO PRONOUNCE THE NAMES!!!!
Whoever they got to narrate this series needs to learn how to pronounce the names of Krynn correctly.... it takes away from the story knowing he isn’t pronouncing them correctly. Using different voices for each character is too much to ask apparently....
