Enjoyed main character

This isn’t my usual genre. I’m reading with my niece. And I did enjoy the plot. Twists and story unfolding. The side of magic was not over the top but added to the story.

Historia
It's winter in the Catskills and Mitchell's Inn, nestled deep in the woods, is the perfect setting for a relaxing—maybe even romantic—weekend away. So when the weather takes a turn for the worse, and a blizzard cuts off the electricity—and all contact with the outside world—the guests settle in and try to make the best of it. Soon, though, one of the guests turns up dead—it looks like an accident. But when a second guest dies, they start to panic. Within the snowed-in paradise, something—or someone—is picking off the guests one by one.

Twists and cliffhangers
Revisado: 09-23-19
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes thrillers and mysteries! There are mysteries within the mystery. Characters were interesting and multi-faceted. I could never have guessed who the killer was! Enjoy! But think twice about going to a far away inn up the mountain in a snowstorm. Lol.

Historia
It begins with a call one snowy February night. Lying in her bed, young Sylvie Mason overhears her parents on the phone across the hall. This is not the first late-night call they have received, since her mother and father have an uncommon occupation: helping "haunted souls" find peace. And yet something in Sylvie senses that this call is different from the others, especially when they are lured to the old church on the outskirts of town.
