Disappointing
Revisado: 07-29-24
extremely disappointing book. The story seems like it was written by AI. Not at all like the other MHI books. Story is jagged, no character development, really difficult to listen to because it does not make sense in relation to other books

Historia
Books and Bug are polar opposites, despite their friendship. Rumors on the road speak of a hospital in Washing D.C. Leading a small group of survivors, including pregnant women, the two travel in earnest to provide the soon-to-be mothers a safe place to deliver. Bug–a natural, charismatic leader–refuses to leave anyone behind while Books–a pragmatic social outsider–wishes not to be responsible for the safety of others. Together, they're exactly what this group needs to survive. But DC isn't exactly the safe haven they hoped for.

sub-par writing
Revisado: 06-28-23
leaving the fact of whether it was a sequel or not, the character development and dialogue in this book is juvenile. Either a 3 year old or AI wrote this.

Historia
“It happened fast. Thirty-two minutes for one world to die, another to be born". An epic and gripping tale of catastrophe and survival, The Passage is the story of Amy - abandoned by her mother at the age of six, pursued, and then imprisoned by the shadowy figures behind a government experiment of apocalyptic proportions. But Special Agent Brad Wolgast, the lawman sent to track her down, is disarmed by the curiously quiet girl and risks everything to save her. As the experiment goes nightmarishly wrong, Wolgast secures her escape - but he can’t stop society’s collapse.

RC Bray is the only reason to listen
Revisado: 05-03-23
I wanted to like this book. Really liked Cyberstorm and was surprised when the narrator was Bray. I thought it was going to be amazing, but found myself struggling to stay engaged. There was too much minutia and its easy to stop listening because it is often redundant, and then all of a sudden you have missed a key point.

Historia
In 48 hours, the Earth will be hit by a coronal mass ejection (CME) from the sun, a "Carrington Event" that has the power to shut down and possibly destroy the world's electrical infrastructure. To try and prevent permanent damage, everything goes dark prior to the hit: Global communications are shut down; hospital emergency generators are disconnected; the entire internet, media broadcasting, and cell phone systems are turned off. Will the world's population successfully defend itself in the wake of the CME, or will mass panic lead to the breakdown of society as we know it?
