Historia
It’s senior-year spring break, and Noelle Meyer and Evan Sinclair have been kidnapped. Neither knows why they were chosen, only that they share a tragic past: Evan’s father got away with killing Noelle’s mother, effectively ruining her family when the death was ruled an accident. Despite the connection that should have made them enemies, the teens instead unite to face their other common denominator—their abductors. Noelle and Evan survive one sadistic circumstance after another, eventually making a harrowing escape. But every happy ending comes at a price…

Some doors are locked for a reason.... While 11-year-old Nora Davis was up in her bedroom doing homework, she had no idea her father was killing women in the basement. Until the day the police arrived at their front door. Decades later, Nora's father is spending his life behind bars, and Nora is a successful surgeon with a quiet, solitary existence. Narration Irritation
Revisado: 10-04-24
Ever since reading the Housemaid books, I’m drawn to any book written by Freida McFadden. The twist in the book is great. But the main character was beyond annoying. Almost never making the common sense decision. But that’s to be expected in mystery to a certain extent.
However, the narrator of this book is a no-go for me. All of her characters sound the same except for slight pitch changes. She almost sounds whining. Anyways…the book was worth the read but not the listen.

Nothing good ever comes from drinking a box of wine alone. So when I decided to entertain my drunken self by setting up some hand-me-down podcasting equipment and reading the steamy parts from romance novels, I never thought anyone would actually listen. The fact that I admitted my huge crush on my sexy next door neighbor made the whole thing even more mortifying. But sometimes life surprises you, and that’s how my podcast, Heidi’s Discount Erotica, was born. Now I, Heidi Larsen, a sweet former kindergarten teacher in Waconia, Minnesota, lead a scandalous double life.

Be prepared to cringe a bit, but laugh ALOT!
Revisado: 03-04-24
Let me me start by saying that I finished this book in less than 24 hrs! I know that almost all of these reviews say similar things, but they're true. This book is hilarious! And yes, I laughed out loud multiple times. It was so hard not to look like a crazy person laughing with earpods on that ppl may or may not have seen and just thought I was laughing at nothing while in public places. I'm always reading and/or listening to 2-3 books at once. After super heavy/intense books, I tend to switch-up genres to spicy romance, fantasy, sci-fi, adventure before returning to the thriller/suspense books that I love. But out of the 200+ books I've listened to just on audible, I don't think I've ever had a book this funny. Or a ton of comedy books in general. This book had a bit of smut, romance, inspirational vibes and a whole lot of funny. Love love LOVE! See for yourself.

It all started with a bet. When my young son inherited half of his great grandfather’s historic inn, I decided to move us both to the place where I grew up. Notice I said half of the Inn. The other half now belonged to Levi Miller, the famous quarterback who had other ideas about what we should do with the property. We won’t mention that I accidentally injured him during our first meeting, causing him to get eight stitches. You could say we got off on the wrong foot. We bickered a lot as we both moved into the property while we figured things out.

Historia
My darling little boy Albie adores playing at our new neighbours’ house. And after the terrible year we’ve had, I feel so lucky that we can start over in this perfect place, with new friends who treat Albie like the son they never had. He can’t stop talking about the tree house they’re building him, and the cookies they bake together. But as time passes, something starts to feel wrong. Why don’t they ever open the front door more than a crack? They told me they had no children so who does the small pink tricycle I saw in their hall belong to?

Decent story
Revisado: 01-27-24
Easy, short read. It was interesting enough to string me along but the ending wasn’t as grand and fitting as I thought it would be. Kinda anti-climactic. I love a good K.L. Slayter thriller! This one isn’t my fave by far though.

Historia
Dan Delgado is a private investigator. When it comes to finding cheating spouses, corporate thieves, or runaway teenagers, he’s unenthusiastic, and unmatched. As a former San Francisco detective, he misses more meaningful work, but he hasn’t had the heart for it since his wife’s death five years prior. That is, until a phone call from a distraught mother, an illegal immigrant who can’t go to the police, puts him on the hunt for a missing little girl. By the time he reaches the mother’s small home, she’s missing, too. The circumstances are strange....

Fun Narration, Good characters. Good laughs.
Revisado: 12-18-23
I enjoyed this. I love a good sci-fi and this did it well. It was a pretty quick read for me but I definitely appreciated the character build up. They were really easy to invest in. I really enjoyed the main character and his partner’s (older lady) relationship. The “reveal” was a little out there but still a good story overall.

Historia
Eva Kavinsky wakes in a dark cellar, with no memory of how she got here. Imprisoned with her, seemingly at random, are four men. The only way out is the trapdoor in the ceiling – and it's locked. The single clue about what brings them all here is a cryptic message sprayed onto one wall. Connect the dots. Repent. A camera fixed high above reach is livestreaming this whole nightmare to the world. What confessions are they meant to make to their unseen audience?

Good. Quick. To the point.

I finished this in a day in a half and was pretty invested for the start. While I was okay with the close to the story…the book ending itself (if that makes sense) was lackluster.

Historia
Jackie and Pete King have lived in Dunmore for years, running one of the two local pubs in the sleepy little town. Money has been tight after the bushfires, and it’s about to get tighter if they can’t find a way to pay their suppliers to keep their business going and keep the bank from foreclosing on their property. So when Jackie receives a mysterious phone call offering them $100,000 to let someone bury a body on their land, the answer isn’t as simple as they thought it would be.

What do you mean there’s not a 2nd one???
Revisado: 05-13-23
This is my first Arthurian book and I have no idea what I was expecting but it wasn’t this. That was such a fun ride!!! It satisfied my fantasy, thriller, suspense, and romance craving all in one.
I searched all over for 2nd book releases and nothing. Apparently the same book is launching June 13th? I need the 2nd one ASAP!

Tragically Beautiful
Revisado: 05-13-23
This is a different vibe than the majority of my books but I enjoyed it. It’s definitely slow building ….and there were a couple loose ends that weren’t cliff-hangers if that makes sense. Overall the story was told beautifully. A+++ for the narrators.
