This narrator is not very good. Monotone and difficult to follow, his character voices are not very good, some sounding extremely similar to one another. The other Star Wars narrators are much, much better. Luceno's story, I'm sure, was just fine, but the narrator spoiled it.

This entry is one of the more boring novels by this author, or at least, the most boring of the four I've read. Also, the voice actor messed up most of the voices. Very strange, because Marc Thompson is usually fantastic. Especially distracting was the poor impersonation of Thrawn, the main villain of the book. Presumably this recording was captured before "Star Wars: Rebels" gave Thrawn a voice in canon, so this is understandable, but still extremely distracting to listen to the wrong voice come from an established character. (Marc Thompson does an excellent Thrawn voice today)

"Just be a natural extrovert"

There are a few small kernels in here, but not worth your time to read. I don't know who this book is for, it seems to be aimed at someone who is extremely intelligent and observant, capable of reading their own and others body language, and yet has never communicated with a human in their life. The Author is obviously very extroverted naturally, and lacks a conceptual understanding of how different brains vary in perception.

Naive and self contradictory

Listening to this audiobook is like being ear-beaten by a philosophy student at a party. The authors lack of experience is painfully ever present, while attempting to hide behind flowery quotations made without context.

it's clear that quite a bit of research and effort went I to writing this, but the organization is confusing and the narrator is so monotone and boring that I feel like I'm listening to a college student reciting notes they quickly took from a textbook.

Incredibly Slow and Boring

it's OK, but it's easily the worst book of the series. Only one interesting thing happens and it's pacing is incredibly slow and boring. if I weren't invested in the series I would not finish this book.

Negative and Cynical

This is a hard one to get through. I had to stop about half way because it was just so negative.. this guy drones on and on about how terrible everything is. it's really depressing.

Hard to Listen to

This narrator has one of the most flat, unappealing voices I have heard, making it very difficult to listen for more than a few minutes. The content is all but impossible to absorb because of this
