Historia
In Second Class, working-class Americans of all races, political orientations, and occupations share their stories—cleaning ladies, health care aides, cops, truck drivers, fast food workers, electricians, and more. In their own words, these working-class Americans explain the struggles and triumphs of their increasingly precarious lives—as well as what policies they think would improve them.

Good Points Biased Conclusions
Revisado: 04-14-25
She has some very good points and some very good solutions but a number of times she draws conclusions that have not considered all facts and/or mitigated more important factors.

Historia
Since he was a small boy, Mosab Hassan Yousef has had an inside view of the deadly terrorist group Hamas. The oldest son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a founding member of Hamas and its most popular leader, young Mosab assisted his father for years in his political activities while being groomed to assume his legacy, politics, status...and power. But everything changed when Mosab turned away from terror and violence and embraced instead the teachings of another famous Middle East leader.

A great memoir of The Battle of the Bulge
Revisado: 08-04-24
Well written and well narrated. One of the best personal accounts of a soldier’s part in the battle of the Bulge and their time in a German POW camp.

Historia
The War on Warriors uncovers the deep roots of our dysfunction—a society that has forgotten the men who take risks, cut through red tape, and get their hands dirty. The only kind of men prepared to face the dangers that the Left pretends don’t exist. Unlike issues of education or taxes or crime, this problem doesn’t have a zip code solution. We can’t move away from it. We can’t avoid it. We have only one Pentagon. Either we take it back or surrender it altogether.

Historia
April 7, 1944 - This date marks the successful escape of two Slovak prisoners from one of the most heavily-guarded and notorious concentration camps of Nazi Germany. The escapees, Rudolf Vrba and Alfred Wetzler, fled over 100 miles to be the first to give the graphic and detailed descriptions of the atrocities of Auschwitz. Originally published in the early 1960s, I Escaped from Auschwitz is the striking autobiography of none other than Rudolf Vrba himself. Vrba details his life leading up to, during, and after his escape from his 21-month internment in Auschwitz.

The best recollection of the concentration camps
Revisado: 03-25-24
I have listened to a lot of books on the Nazi Holocaust and this is the best detailed description of Auschwitz and what took place there during the Holocaust. It’s very detailed and sometimes it gets difficult listening to the brutality but it’s very much worth it. The more people listen to this book the better educated everyone will be.

Historia
On January 20, 2021, standing where only two weeks earlier police officers had battled with right-wing paramilitaries, Joe Biden took his oath of office. The American people were still sick with COVID-19, his economists were already warning him of an imminent financial crisis, and his party, the Democrats, had the barest of majorities in the Senate. Yet, faced with an unprecedented set of crises, Joe Biden decided he would not play defense. Instead, he set out to transform the nation.

A Democrat realizes the truth
Revisado: 09-12-23
From the beginning it’s obvious the author is a liberal Democrat who believed the established opinion of Joe Biden. Then through the almost three years of the Biden administration he realizes the obvious truth. If you’re a conservative and you didn’t buy the preconceived idea of Joe Biden you needn’t waste your time listening to this book unless you just want to see how a Biden admirer comes to realize the truth.

Historia
Vietnam became the Western world’s most divisive modern conflict, precipitating a battlefield humiliation for France in 1954, then a vastly greater one for the US in 1975. Max Hastings has spent the past three years interviewing scores of participants on both sides, as well as researching a multitude of American and Vietnamese documents and memoirs, to create an epic narrative of an epic struggle. Here are the vivid realities of strife amid jungle and paddies that killed two million people.

Detailed account of Vietnam
Revisado: 09-22-22
Very detailed history of the Vietnam War but quite biased against the French and much more against the Americans. He would have been more effective just to recoup the history and wait to the end to draw conclusions. Overall, a great accounting just ignore many of his opinions along the way.

Historia
Renowned fake conservative pundit Stephen Colbert may have coined the word truthiness, but it's Greg Gutfeld, real conservative political pundit and host of the Fox News Channel's Red Eye, who has made a name for himself by unabashedly pronouncing the actual uncomfortable truthiness of life that is sure to shock the P.C. The Bible of Unspeakable Truths is packed full of his most aggressive (and hilarious) rants, with each chapter devoted to a single "unspeakable truth".

No bull***t, no PC
Revisado: 02-19-13
What made the experience of listening to The Bible of Unspeakable Truths the most enjoyable?
You may not agree with everything Mr. Gutfeld says but you have to admire his unvarnished, down to earth, matter of fact, way of expressing his opinions. This is the kind of open expression we need in our country today.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Bible of Unspeakable Truths?
It's all good but the forward by Penn Jillette was especially memorable because it set you up for want was to follow.
What about Greg Gutfeld’s performance did you like?
It was read by him and it had his voice so you could just picture him sitting there reading the book.

Funny Only To Those Who Can Laugh At Themselves
Revisado: 10-17-04
The book is funny, probably more so for conservatives than liberals, but I think the main point she is trying to make is you have to be able to laugh at yourself. I mean, when a liberal writes the same type of book they think it's the gospel and they wonder why conservatives would be upset. I found her observations quite amusing but I'm smart enough to know that they don't all apply and are quite exaggerated.

A study in bad leadership
Revisado: 10-07-04
As a veteran and retired Air Force officer I recognize the writing style of a highly educated Naval officer. The descriptions of the actual engagements are what you would expect from a man relating actual combat and the reasons these men feel so incensed are laid out in clear and concise form. Unfortunately, most Americans will label this as political slander because they have no understanding the depth of the loyalty that these men believe was betrayed.
