Historia
I loved the anonymity, flexibility and solitude that working the night shift at Storage Queen gave me. The unsociable hours paid well, helping me fund my university degree and giving me a quiet place to study while the world slept peacefully in their warm, cozy beds. It was the perfect job for me. But that Friday night proved to be more than I bargained for when a man walked through the door, dragging a large suitcase. My immediate instincts told me something was wrong. That’s when my ordeal began. I just had to make it through the night shift.

Impossible
Revisado: 03-15-25
Are usually do not leave review audiobooks, but this one is extraordinarily bad. The problem is the performance. At times it's almost impossible to understand, and I lost story at some point. Too bad, because I usually like Gemma Rogers. I will never ever buy a book again with this narrator.

Historia
For the reasonable price of $1, Natalie Malone just bought herself an abandoned villa on the Amalfi Coast. With a detailed spreadsheet and an ancient key, she's arrived in Italy ready to renovate—and with only six months to do it. Which seemed reasonable until architect Pietro Indelicato began critically watching her every move. From the sweeping ocean views to the scent of the lemon trees, there's nothing Pietro loves more than his hometown. And after seeing too many botched jobs and garish design choices, he's done watching from the sidelines.

Beautiful love story, but
Revisado: 02-15-23
It really is a sweet story. But the narrator completely spoiled it for me. There is clearly something off with the rhythm of her voice . some parts are narrated with a very clear voice, other parts you can barely hear. I have not completely finished the audiobook, but I’m really close to giving up on it, due to the absolutely awful narration.

Absolutely boring and terrible book
Revisado: 08-09-22
I do not write many reviews however, I was compelled to write this one. I have read books by this author since the early 1990s. And I have enjoyed many of her books however, this one is so confusing, boring and predictable that I just had to turn the audiobook off and delete it from my device. Danielle Steele seems to pump these books out so fast, the quality seems to suffer. A real shame!

Historia
Past midnight, Chyna Shepard, twenty-six, gazes out a moonlit window, unable to sleep on her first night in the Napa Valley home of her best friend’s family. Instinct proves reliable. A murderous sociopath, Edgler Foreman Vess, has entered the house, intent on killing everyone inside. A self-proclaimed “homicidal adventurer,” Vess lives only to satisfy all appetites as they arise, to immerse himself in sensation, to live without fear, remorse, or limits, to live with intensity. Chyna is trapped in his deadly orbit.

stunningly bad narration
Revisado: 09-26-21
The story is gripping and so suspenseful that I don't want to stop listening to it, but that being said......... who in the World chose the narrator ?????
I have been a member of Audible for several years, but I have never heard a worse narrator!!!
She is monotonous and she doesn't bring the story alive. Her voice is predictable ...like a sing-song!
If I wouldn't be so fascinated with he story, I would have deleted this audio book.
