Captivating

From the action (no spoilers) in the beginning to the mystery in the middle to the magical ending this book is captivating throughout. Of all the audible books I have listened to this is the first time I just sat and listened for the final two hours. Kristin Hannah never disappoints. She is a gifted writer and this book is definitely in the top ten.

The dog is the star

This is a dark strange story. At times pitiful but mostly just disgusting. There are no redeeming qualities of the protagonist. If it weren’t for the dog in the story there would be nothing positive in this story. I mostly write only positive reviews but I found this story to be towards the end offensive. The narrator is wonderful and I believe that he is the reason why I continued on with the story. Don’t eat while listening!!
