rehashing poor decisions doesn't lead to change

The speaker kept the energy up throughout the reading. I didn't agree fully with the author's portrayal of Trump, as most Republicans both apologize for him and defend him at the same time and this account was no different. I'm convinced this is the real reason he didn't get out from under the progressive mudslide. Either support him or don't; don't be wishy-washy about your most successful candidate. The foibles shared here just prove Republicans have no game and do not learn from mistakes. Not very promising for future elections. Also, they are too quick to get sucked into the opposition's rhetoric and take the defensive stance. Why reinforce their behavior with any attention. None of the claims were supported, so why take them seriously? Maybe some offensive lessons would help, which was slightly touched on but quickly overshadowed by more defensiveness. I appreciated a few insights, but this is not a playbook for what they need to do next time, which is sorely needed. I have little hope for the party - seems like a surplus of incompetence.

Leah, thankfully, is her own best narrator. This story would have packed much less punch if she had handed the job off to someone else. That certainly can't be said of all authors. I applaud her bravery and stamina.
