A hopeful, simple story.

First read it on Kindle, loved this simple hopefully story so much I bought the audio. It's now one of my favorites post apocalypse story along with 'The Last Tribe' and 'Odd Billy Todd' The narrator could use some improvements. Good one book story.

This book is worth listening to. I love their show Fixer Upper because they were real, and in his book he still is real. If you don't believe in God then perhaps this book isn't for you.

Horrible narrator

I tried, I got to about chapter 7 then surrendered I cannot listen to the narrator butcher the story any further. Story may have been fine, but listening to this narrator it's like listening to nails down a chalk board, so who can tell when all I wanted to do was yell, 'shut up.'. This is one book that is being returned. Sad since I really had high hopes for this book..

Different but felt good after

I enjoyed it. It was hopefull and calm but interesting. Found the narrator is on the mono tone side yet tolerable enough that I listened to whole book in 2 days. Im going to listen to it again since I still feel a connection to the characters, the author did a good job of creating people you care for even though I wondered often about their wisdom, I found I was totally involed in the story. Since I listen to about 5 books a week and review few I would say this one stands out as a new fave.

What disappointed you about Taken! Box Set - Books 1-6?

Horrible book. Save your money. First book makes you wonder if you had missed a whole lot, then when you go back you find out nope nothing there. Total waste of time.

No.

Would you be willing to try another one of Christopher Eicher’s performances?

Perhaps, reader really wasn't the problem, lack of story and substance was.

Loved this book

Would you listen to Written in Red again? Why?

I have listened to this story 4 times so far. This is a good story, with a wonderful Narrator whose voice is a pleasure to listen to. I have been an audio-book fan for years and I must say this is up there as a favorites.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Written in Red?

The retribution at the end, bravo!

Have you listened to any of Alexandra Harris’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Don't think I have heard any of Alexandra's performances before, but definitely will be checking out more.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Right from the beginning this book had me.

Any additional comments?

If you are sick of mega violence and sex in a book than this will be a nice simple fresh breath of air, there is violence but not the all encompassing of other books of late.
