Historia
Miranda July’s second novel confirms the brilliance of her unique approach to fiction. With July’s wry voice, perfect comic timing, unabashed curiosity about human intimacy, and palpable delight in pushing boundaries, All Fours tells the story of one woman’s quest for a new kind of freedom. Part absurd entertainment, part tender reinvention of the sexual, romantic, and domestic life of a forty-five-year-old female artist, All Fours transcends expectation while excavating our beliefs about life lived as a woman.

Compelling
Revisado: 02-17-25
Expertly narrated and beautifully written. Puts a name on experiences many women go through. But even if you don’t recognize yourself in some of the storylines, you can still connect with the utter humanity in the words.

Historia
This audiobook is divided into three parts. The first part "sclaffolding", attempts to sketch out the mechanicals of "evangelical desconstruction". The second part, "A Letter to a Friend" is the centerpiece of the audiobook, which is a personal, autobiographical account of my de- and re-construction experience. The third part consists of appendices - reference material aimed at re-orienting those who are skeptical and those who aren't sure where to get next in re-building their intellectual and spiritual lives as Christians.

Excellent
Revisado: 07-24-21
An excellent, intellectually rigorous and honest look at the questions that many Christians are afraid to ask.
I found this to be a very helpful analysis and will undoubtedly become a useful conversation starter for those who are willing to venture out of the evangelical black and white box of stiff and unyielding doctrine.
