I loved everything about this adorable little book. The characters, the plot, the execution of the plot and... The narration. Absolutely fabulous. I'm usually a bit dubious of narrators I haven't heard (or heard of) before, but Argyle Nicholson is certainly one I'll be seeking more of. He so expertly captured the sweet, innocent tones of this book (although there is one "open door" scene). Highly recommend!

Narrators did a fair job on this, but sadly, a narrator is only as good as the material. Alexander Cendese could easily have carried this book alone. The very very limited minute long bits from Whit's point of view could easily have been omitted altogether. Truthfully, Liam wasted his precious time even getting involved in this piece of below average attempt at plotting a story. I'm regretting wasting my own precious time trudging through this... Thank goodness it's over.

My suggestion is : get the ebook. Read the book. The narration will literally put you in a coma. Accents annoying. Inflections in all the wrong places. Really, nobody talks like this in an exchange of dialogue. All the gay characters (friends, fellow dancers) portrayed in an unfairly stereotypical voice. Very irritating. Just a big fat no to this audio.

This is honestly the cutest story ever! Expertly narrated by Michael Lesley. This narrator has the skill to identify the hidden nuance behind everything he reads. I wish there were more books read by him. Quick listen. Minimal smexy times. Just delightful! Highly recommend.

Although the premise of the story is OK, the execution is lame and shallow. There is really more sex in this than anything else, with some political/parental angst thrown in to give you a brief breather. I found the dialogue to be extremely frustrating and uncommunicative between the two mc's. Back and forth. To and fro with very little being said at all. I think, perhaps the author had hoped this would come across as cute banter, but it is just annoying. I don't think I'll follow the author or this series any further. As for the narration... This narrator is new to me. I think he has great potential and did a stellar job of differentiating between character voices. I also think he did his absolute best with less than fine material. I'd listen to him again! But personally, I wouldn't recommend this author. At all.

I loved this so much. A very well written FBI related story with cold cases and murder investigations... And ghosts. Awww I loved it, and Noah Michael Levine completely outdid himself with the wonderful narration.
He has captured every subtle nuance of the story, every accent, every bit of hidden humour in the script. Well done. (I'm disappointed that the follow up books have a different narrator, but I love Kirt Graves too, so, immediately moving on to book two). Highly recommend! 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Michael Dean's narration is very good, as always, but the story is completely overwhelmed by sex. Virtually every single time these two characters came within the mere sight of each other the encounter culminates in fornication. Even in the middle of a serious conversation about a family member dying of cancer, the innuendos take centre stage and woohoo... Sex. And let's not even touch on the extremely NOT cute or funny Aunt Tilly and the grandmothers who never had anything to say unless it was about sex. All I can say about this book is "thank heaven it's over". This book (and/or audio) is not worth the trouble. SOOO NOT RECOMMENDED.

Absolutely beautiful. I have never cried tears as I did with this story. A well known and well loved tale indeed. I have seen numerous versions of this in movie format, but never realized how much more there is to the story until now. Most highly recommended! Narration quite incomparable in it's perfection!

First of all, I have strong objections to the non-consentual shenanigans. Early sexual encounters by male lead (note I refer to it as "by him" and not between them) are bordering on r*pe. And the most annoying thing is that female lead allows herself to be bullied and forced without complaint. This is sooo unrealistic and unacceptable.
Secondly, I don't know of any businessman who would treat prospective clients the way he treats Cami. Where have you ever seen a landlord who manipulates a client (especially a female client) into doing manual labor on the property in order to be "permitted" to rent said property? This is so much BS!
THIRDLY... I don't even know what to say about characters who are drunk most of the time. All the two girls ever do is drown themselves in bottles and bottles of wine.
And, back to male lead (I can't be bothered to recall his name)... I don't care what past he's hiding from, nobody has the right to be that hateful to fellow humans.
No thank you. Moving on to something else.
Not recommended.

DNF at chapter 10. I'm sorry, but the reading by Gomez Pugh is an insult to both Marley Valentine and Teddy Hamilton. I pushed ahead, (after having had this on my wishlist and then buying this for ZAR167!) but I just could NOT listen to this narrator's choppy, stilted, unprofessional rendering for a single second longer. I also thought the story itself was not up to Marley's usual standard. I've read (and listened to) several of her books, and though angsty (after all, that's why we buy her books) they are always engaging, emotional and hard to put down. This one... Just could not garner any interest in the characters or their road to resolving their issues. I might have continued out of curiosity if not for the awful narration. Can't recommend. Maybe, just read the book yourself.
