Historia
From the start, his path was never predictable. Steve Jobs was given up for adoption at birth, dropped out of college after one semester, and at the age of 20, created Apple in his parents' garage with his friend Steve Wozniack. Then came the core and hallmark of his genius - his exacting insistence on perfection, his counterculture life approach, and his level of taste and style that pushed all boundaries.

Unbiased Easy listening
Revisado: 03-20-12
What did you love best about Steve Jobs: The Man Who Thought Different?
Great Narrator. Doesn't tell you what to think, just presents the facts. Apple Loves may not like this book as it paints a darker picture of your beloved demigod.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Woz
Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Easy on the ear. 9/10 for narration
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Somewhat comprehensive overview of Jobs life. I never listened to the famous book by sir whatever, but this book is definately a mind opening view into Steve jobs and Apple and important events in technology that shape our current ecoverse. What a rich whinny tosser Steve jobs was. (Woz) A fortunate set of circumstances and meetings and his drive to get whatever he needed, allowed him to force some of the brightest people on the planet to create a computer so smart, even dumb people can use it.

But that’s old hat for today’s researchers, who are creating technologies that will have a much deeper impact on the quality of people’s lives over the next quarter century.

Historia
The radio dramatisation of The Hobbit became a classic when it was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 1968 and it continues to delight today. Tolkien's famous saga, the prelude to the Lord of the Rings, has all the ingredients of fantasy and adventure: dwarves, elves, goblins and trolls, a fearsome dragon, a great wizard, a perilous quest, and a dramatic climax.

Terrible sound quality
Revisado: 03-20-12
Would you try another book from J. R. R. Tolkien and/or the narrator?
The dramatisation kills this. SO much background noise you can't hear or understand the person talking. Very poorly done by the BBC. I expected much much more.
Would you be willing to try another book from J. R. R. Tolkien? Why or why not?
Yes
What didn’t you like about the narrator’s performance?
The dramatisation was terrible. The main problem was the mixing of the background sounds with the foreground speaker. The foreground is a blur. IF you concentrate in a quiet place you might be able to follow it.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Hobbit (Dramatised)?
I would have hired a competant sound mixer

What did you love best about How to Survive a Robot Uprising?
This book cleverly weaves real scientfic truth about Robots with common causes for Alarm bred into us by movies such as the Terminator and shows you how in very practical terms how to survive malicious robots, who want to harm you. The book is very comprehensive.
What did you like best about this story?
Its a practical way to engage with your technology loving older children if listening to this book together. I particularly loved the clever suggestions such as how to stall a malicious robot by asking it what the largest prime number is.
What about Stefan Rudnicki’s performance did you like?
The narrators voice is brilliant. Super deep, non emotive and fitting to the story at hand, while never changing tone even during potentially lethal descriptions of killer robots.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
My son and I laughed for hours to during night drives.
Any additional comments?
There is some heavy technical content in the book whcih I had to explain to my 12 year old, with many references to historical robot related movies and robot stereo types.
