Historia
When Time and Again was published in 1970, The New York Times hailed it as "a fanciful novel that beautifully blends science fiction, nostalgia, and mystery." Millions of fans agreed, making the book a modern classic. Travel with author Jack Finney back to an incredible world where there are no such things as automobiles, airplanes, computers or television...back to January 1882.

Thrilled to get the Unabridged version!
Revisado: 06-29-12
Would you listen to Time and Again again? Why?
I listen to this at least once a year. I'm a hopeless, time travel nut. So, anytime time travel figures largely into a story. I will probably like it. :-) Always loved the space time continuim plots on Star Trek the Next Generation, too.
What other book might you compare Time and Again to and why?
This is a more upbeat version of Somewhere in Time. I never did like the ending of that one...
Which scene was your favorite?
Si's spying solution of how to find out and spy on the meeting between the 2 bad guys was very clever yet, he found to his horror hiding there may have huge repurcussions he hadn't anticipated.
Who was the most memorable character of Time and Again and why?
Si Morley. I found him very likeable and his decision in the end of how to honor Dr. Danziger's request to stop the military use of his method of time travel was brilliant.
Any additional comments?
Some may find this a bit slow, but I enjoyed all the details about what Si was seeing and the wonder of the differences between his time and the early 1900's. I liked the blending of the mystery Si was trying to unravel and how he got so caught up in the personal lives of the people he was trying to observe.

This was Great!
Revisado: 10-31-03
I'm not usually a Nicholas Sparks fan...his books are usually too sad. But, I LOVED this book. I enjoyed the male perspective, as this book is written as if the husband were talking...I enjoyed how this man tries to rebuild his marriage and the steps he was willing to take to get his wife to fall in love with him again. I was pleasantly surprised by the ending, and hope you will be too. If you've read Nicholas Sparks in the past and decided never again, try this one out, it's a great listen! I also really liked the narrator's voice, he pulls you into the story.

Historia
Frequency is all the buzz at the box office, so now's the time to revisit one of the best time-travel books ever written. Step back in time with Simon Morley to the New York that once was, as he is transported from the mid-1900s to the year 1882. Morley solves a mystery of the 20th century by discovering its 19th-century roots, and falls desperately in love with a beautiful young woman in the process. He ultimately finds himself forced to choose between his lives in the present and the past.

What a tranporting book!
Revisado: 10-31-03
I've never read this book before, and listening makes me want to go get the printed copy and add it to my library! This was very imaginative and caught my attention until the end. I had a hard time putting it down! I loved the characters and how they interacted with each other. I also really enjoyed the fact that there wasn't alot of bad language interspersed in the book. This is an all around magical book, that will transport you to another time! Enjoy!
