Historia
Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the king of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken. His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica - the stronghold of the southern continent's mighty empire.

This series has been a joy to listen to. I can’t wait to get on to the next book in the series. Thankfully they’re all written and I don’t have to wait! It is great to see how new characters are introduced in this book and will be added to the next.

What’s not to like! There’s so many twists and turns to the story. Just when I think, I know what will happen next, another new twist happens. I’m hoping that the Blackbeak coven will join the queen.

Brienna desires only two things: to master her passion and to be chosen by a patron. Growing up in Valenia at the renowned Magnalia House should have prepared her. While some are born with a talent for one of the five passions - art, music, dramatics, wit, and knowledge - Brienna struggled to find hers until she chose knowledge. However, Brienna's greatest fear comes true - she is left without a patron. But months later, her life takes an unexpected turn when a disgraced lord offers her patronage.

Some have been critical about the beginning of the book. It may have initially been a bit slow but still suspenseful with excellent description. I’m immediately purchasing the sequel to begin now! Loved it!

Nothing but the best from this author
Revisado: 03-19-22
I was advised on an Instagram page to read Rebecca Ross’ latest book The Enchanted River. I thought we’ll okay and listened to the Audible book. It was awesome. But the sequel is not available yet so I grabbed this book. I quickly latched on to this story as well. The books are not so short that they leave you wanting, but keep you hooked throughout. There is always some sleuthing and adventure and of course the fantasy world she so eloquently writes about. I love these first two I have read and after the review I plant to go back to her first books. If you do not purchase at least one of her books you won’t know what you’re missing. But once you read one, you will be hooked guaranteed. These are great books for adults as well as the young adult category. They are not overly predictable, and her descriptive writing technique far surpasses many authors. Excellent story.

I found out about this book from an Instagram page for harpists. When I got it I really couldn’t turn it off! I’m not sure if this is newly published and understand there will be a second book to finish the story. I can’t wait. And please put it on Audible. I can’t tell you how many series I have bought and then subsequent books aren’t on Audible or there are two missing in the middle of a series. So frustrating.
I cried my eyes out at the end of this story and just know there will have to be a happy ending for Jack and Adaira.

I need to learn how to control my new magic — before it gets me killed. As the first ever Faerie Games player gifted with magic from the king of the gods — Jupiter — all eyes are on me. Especially since I won the first competition of the Games. Now I need to send three other players to fight in the Coliseum until one of them is dead. The two that survive will be gunning for me later. One player will win the Faerie Games and survive. The rest will die. I need to win. If that means getting close to Julian…then that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

Revisado: 02-15-19
I began reading the second series on Audible without knowing this one existed. I contacted the author to find out if his second book of the second series would soon be on audible. He immediately emailed me back and told me of the first series.
It takes nothing away from this series having read the first book of the other series.
If you are a fan of the Harry Potter series you will like these books. These are not so childlike that an adult cannot enjoy them.. I am 57 and enjoy the series very much. There is so much that will happen by the time you get to the second series and you won’t want to put the books down.
The negative reviews I have read here have no merit. People grasping at straws to be negative as they do hiding. Behind a keyboard. They really have no merit.
There is action and danger around every corner but it isn’t a disgusting or scary read.
I am most impressed that this young author Sever Bronny could produce such high quality reading right out of the gate. I am very impressed.
Enjoy.

Revisado: 10-28-18
This book was so uplifting for me. I enjoyed it so much I couldn’t
Put it down... well it was an audible book. Anyway the narrator was really good. Her character voices were well done.
This story follows the life of one young woman named Marnie (spelling?) and the people who come into and out of her life. I don’t want to give any part of the book away, but i will say that it will leave you feeling good.
I didn’t realize this was a 2018 new release book, and I haven’t read any other books by Maddie Dawson. I am going right over to Amazon to purchase another one of her novels~ I like this author that much.
