“Prequel” by Rachel Maddow is a fascinating and insightful deep dive into the history of political corruption and the rise of authoritarianism in the U.S. Maddow’s engaging storytelling makes complex historical events feel accessible and relevant. The book is well-researched, shedding light on forgotten scandals while drawing timely connections to current politics. It’s a thought-provoking read that offers both knowledge and perspective, perfect for anyone interested in understanding the roots of today’s political landscape.

I hold no one person in higher esteem than I do Liz Cheney after reading this book. I hope that it will soon be required reading for High School seniors, as it speaks about personal responsibility, and civic duty.

To quote Rudyard Kipling, "If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you." Liz Cheney's strength of character are on full display, and her words are are beyond reproach. If our democracy is to survive, it will require honor-bound, selfless leadership like hers to do so through this dark time.

As a white man, I think that this book should be required reading in High Schools. His evolution and his mind were incredible.

we should absolutely demand more from our running back, and if Swift could get out of his own way he certainly could be a great player.

Racism, Classism, and control of an oppressed populous. I believe that much of the book is on point. I though I was going to read about urban warfare, and counterinsurgency - that it was not. I do not like a book that tells it's reader that the elite was to keep the lower class down. The poorest, and brownest of people can in fact create the future the want in this nation and in most western nations. Generalizing in the way the author is doing makes me think that these generalizations apply everywhere. I believe that the message the Black Panthers in the 1960s were pretty much correct, but it doesn't apply to these times in every instance.
