Historia
When thinking of magic or spells, one might imagine wicked witches or wand-wielding wizards. However, unlike fictional magic, magick does not have the power to turn people into frogs, or summon fireballs from thin air. Indeed, you will be surprised to know that modern witchcraft, magick, and spells are a reliable, spiritual way to express your deepest desires and make them come true.

Very disappointedin this book. It does not contain any wiccan spells.
Revisado: 03-12-24
This tithe of the book is SO misleading. It has absolutely zero spells in it. It is all about the origin and history of a few magical practices.
That's it.
I understand that it says in the title UNDER the dominate words "The Book of Spells" it says in small font the history of blah, blah, so why make the title so wrong? Call it the history of a few magical practices, or something.
Unfortunately, for myself,l it was a waste of energy and time listening to it. I did give it a good chance by listening to the entire book just to be sure before I posted a review.
To the author: If the title says"The Book of Spells" wouldn't it be prudent to, well I don't know, maybe, put some spells in it? I can honestly say that I will not recommend this title to anyone. I do not like being mis-led so I do my best to not mislead. Free advice Ms. Visconti

Historia
Now reduced to a schoolyard chant, the Hope family murders shocked the Maine coast one bloody night in 1929. While most people assume seventeen-year-old Lenora was responsible, the police were never able to prove it. Other than her denial after the killings, she has never spoken publicly about that night, nor has she set foot outside Hope’s End, the cliffside mansion where the massacre occurred.

WHAT ?!?!
Revisado: 07-27-23
What in the hell was that? Oh my God! Incredible. It's simply incredible. I almost skipped over this book. It was next to one I wanted, but I got this instead. I'm glad now.
It is an edge of the seat read, to say the least. I don't know if this story is fiction or nonfiction. The last chapter blew me away. I spent 30+ minutes online looking for Virginia Hope, Lenora Hope, and Jessica Oxford.
The people I found, I'm not sure if they're the correct people, so I still don't know if they're real or not. Great writing, especially if it's fiction, outstanding book, outstanding narration, outstanding.

Historia
At one time, Corrie ten Boom would have laughed at the idea that she had a story to tell. For the first 50 years of her life, nothing out of the ordinary ever happened to her. She was a spinster watchmaker living contentedly with her sister and their elderly father in the tiny house over their shop in Haarlem. Their uneventful days, as regulated as their own watches, revolved around their abiding love for one another. But with the Nazi invasion and occupation of Holland, everything changed....

Historia
Sidekick to SS Chief Heinrich Himmler and supervisor of Nazi rocket scientist Wernher von Braun, General Hans Kammler was responsible for the construction of Hitler's slave labor sites and concentration camps. He personally altered the design of Auschwitz to increase crowding, ensuring that epidemic diseases would complement the work of the gas chambers. Why has the world forgotten this monster? Kammler was declared dead after the war. But the aide who testified to Kammler's supposed "suicide" never produced the general's dog tags or any other proof of death.

Not what I expected.
Revisado: 11-03-22
I was expecting a story about a hidden nazi living in say, Arkansas, not a lecture. However I really enjoy lectures and this one did not disappoint. It was Extremely informative and I will definitely be listening to this again. You actually have to listen to it twice to be able to absorb all of the information, it is huge . It is very well researched, documented and preformed. It is amazing. Thank you To the gentleman that researched it and the gentleman that did the narration.

Historia
Miss Honaria Honeyford was sent to London to save the family fortune by hunting a wealthy husband - and being a loving (if not entirely dutiful) daughter, she obeyed. But if she was reluctantly willing to surrender her hand, this beautiful young lady who could ride, shoot, and argue with any man was not about to lose her head or heart to the dismal dandies of the Marriage Mart. First she met the arrogantly attractive Lord Alistair Stewart, who treated her infuriatingly like a little girl. And then she met the skillfully seductive Lord Channington, who treated her intoxicatingly like a desirable woman....

Historia
When the Nazis invaded Hungary in 1944, they sent virtually the entire Jewish population to Auschwitz. A Jew and a medical doctor, the prisoner Dr. Miklos Nyiszli was spared death for a grimmer fate: to perform "scientific research" on his fellow inmates under the supervision of the man who became known as the infamous "Angel of Death" - Dr. Josef Mengele. Nyiszli was named Mengele's personal research pathologist. In that capacity he also served as physician to the Sonderkommando, the Jewish prisoners who worked exclusively in the crematoriums and were routinely executed after four months.

Oh my God!
Revisado: 09-01-22
Holy crap! Oh my freaking God! Holy crap! I wish I could cuss on here! Holy Shit! I have never heard anything like that in my life! I've seen stories and stuff like that on the History Channel and Discovery Channel but my God never have I heard anything like that! The narrator is incredible. When he is talking about the plight of the Women, you could totally hear his voice crack. You can totally hear the emotion in his voice no matter what chapter you're in from anger the sadness to sorrow to incredulous, he is fantastic. How would you thank somebody for the 1st hand account? Do you thank him for this? Do you thank him for surviving do you thank him for writing the book, for translation, for the narration, for the people that passed?
