This book rocks! - Literally!

When I started listening to this book, I thought it was a bit shallow. Just a bunch of hot sexy scenes, but when you get further in the book, you really get to know the characters in the band "Sinners". They are very amusing, lovable and at times laugh-out-loud funny.

I think this is a gareat first book in the series. It has a fascinating and fun story with some sweet romance and a lot (and I mean A LOT) of really hot, steamy and sexy scenes.

To top it off; the narrator does a fantastic job. She really brings the charaters to life and makes it all come together in harmony. I really enjoy narrators when they are not monotone and flat. Justine O. Keef is excellent and lively. She will definitely be put on my favorite-narrator list.

I think this book is great and it is well worth the credit if you like bad-ass rock stars, romance and hot sexy scenes.

I am a big fan of PNR books with vampires and shifters, and this audiobook has both, so I thought it sounded intriguing. Boy, was I wrong!

It had potential with the attraction between the protagonists and the story of them being vampire and shifter, but it never really came through. It was just boring and lacked a lot of fun, spunk and hot, steamy and sexy scenes.
Sometimes you can overlook the dull romance if the book has a great story, but it did not. It was just weird and incoherent.
I also found the female protagonist a bit timid, spiritless and annoying, which is for me a big turn-off in PNR. I like it when the female is kick-ass and is a bit more out-spoken.

The narrator did not help the matter. I found her mediocre and characterless.

To sum up: For me this audiobook was not worth the credit!

Story = Good/Exciting, Narrator = Bad/Indifferent

The good part:
I think this is a good shifter-story. It is a bit different, but in a interesting way. I found that I really liked it very much. Of course for me it is always a +, when a story contains a sexy dominat alpha male, a female, who do not take crap from anybody, romance, action and hot sexy scenes. This story contains all of that and a really intriguing story.

The bad part:
As I said it is a good story, but the naration is very boring and dissatisfactory. I tried the "sample" and I did think it sounded a bit indifferent, but I thought I could ignore it. I couldn't! The narrator, Traci Odom, made the charactors very uninteresting. It just lacked emotion and was very unimpressive, passive and boring. I only lasted about 10 minutes into the story, then I had to stop.

I was still excited about the story, so I bought the Kindle version and read it myself. I am glad I did it, because it is a good story and very entertaining.

I would definitely recommend the book, but not the audiobook - except if it gets re-released with a new narrator.

A nice surprise...

I was a little sceptic when I bought this book, but I found that I really liked it. Mainly because CJ is a real hard-ass and don't take crap from anybody.
This is a good story mixed with a dominant alpha male, romance, action and some hot and sexy scenes.
I think the narrator did an ok job, but not one of my favorite.
If you like shifter stories with dominant alpha males and strong kick-ass females, then you would definitely like this one. This is certainly worth the credit.

A bit boring...

I love the PNR genre and I especially like books with vampires, but I was very dissapointed with this one. I thought the story was too sweet and boring, and I did not find the charactors believable and a bit annoying at times.
The narrator did not help the matter, because she was also boring and at times a bit annoying.
For me this book was not worth the credit.

Hot, Sexy and Excellent!

It has it all; a dominant alpha male, a alpha female, who will not take crap from anybody, a great and fun story and some really hot, sexy and steamy scenes.
It is a great listen and is one of my favourte shifter romance books. I think Suzanne Wright is a exceptional writer and is very good at writing PNR with both a great story and compelling sexy romance.
The narrator Jill Redfield does a fantastic job and I think she really makes the charactors believable.
I would recommend this to anyone (adult), who loves sexy shifter romance books and I think this is totally worth a credit.

Fun and sexy!

Suzanne Wright did it again! The second book in her "Phoenix Pack" series is excellent. I loved the first book and hoped the second would be just as good. I was not dissapointed. I think she is a very exceptional writer in the PNR genre and is very great at writing books with both a good paranormal story and romance.
This book contains a very dominant alpha male, a kick-ass female, a excellent story and some very hot and steamy scenes.
I think the narrator Jill Redfield does a really great job and makes the characters believable.
If you liked the first book "Feral Sins", you will absolutely also like this one and I think it is well worth the credit.
