This is the book I've been waiting for. This book wrapped up a lot of questions, added more, and made me so EXCITED to read the final book in this series. Bravo, Lizzy Ford. The last two books were predictable and not very interesting. This one, the end, I actually got goosebumps. Now I want to go back and reread the first two to see if there were hints.

I am so glad I pushed through and got to this book. Give the series a try, it's interesting and heartbreaking and about a tough chick who is bent on survival.

The second book in the History Interrupted series has a lot of ambition, but it tends to fall a little short. Like with most books that involve time travel to a degree, East opens up plot holes that just don't make sense. The book builds to a big reveal, which really doesn't feel true to the story, at all. I feel like the story over complicates itself, trying to tie a lot of what's going on in this book to things in the previous one, but it's unnecessary. I don't know, the end really disappointed me.

The beginning of the book was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole set up and execution of her new love interest, the very quick getting-over of her previous one (somewhat disappointing), and the vast journey we took. It's an overall enjoyable story, again with one graphic smut scene threw in there for good measure. I am curious to see where we go in future books, but I will not be rushing to purchase as soon as it becomes available.

Could use a better narrator.

First off, the narrator for this book is hard to get into. She doesn't emote the same way I've gotten used to audiobook narrators, so it felt almost like some kid in high school was picked to read out loud. So it took a little to get into. Beware, not the best narrator.

The story is great, though. A lot of "just go with it, it's a science fiction story" 'whatever' devices are used, to help clarity of the story and aid our heroine. I liked that the author didn't pull any punches with people getting hurt or killed. This is a neat little mystery wrapped in a sci-fi, mixed with some romance. It's a quick read, but be ready to go all in with the rest of the series, because there is no satisfying ending. We end on a cliffhanger that will continue through the series, I'm sure. No stand alone books in this series!

We follow Josie as she gets super drunk with a stranger and decides to follow him back to his lab so she can get sent back in time to save lives. Josie, not one for sound decisions. Immediately when she arrives, we find that there have been many Josies who have been sent back, but she is unaware of this fact. We follow along as she tries to unravel a mystery in her 'home' and a mystery with the sheriff, hysterically named Taylor Hanson (every time he was mentioned, I just thought of the music group Hanson). With a cast full of unreliable people keeping secrets from everyone and somehow able to hide their memories when it suits the plot. Good book, enjoyable to get through, and one random sexy smutty scene dropped in for good measure.
