inspiring!
Revisado: 01-25-24
Similar to all of Alastair's books, this book was very insightful and enjoyable! Within the first couple of chapters you'll hardly be able to fight the urge to put it down and get outside straight away.

Historia
In his audiobook, A Higher Loyalty, former FBI director James Comey shares his never-before-told experiences from some of the highest stakes situations of his career in the past two decades of American government, exploring what good, ethical leadership looks like and how it drives sound decisions. His journey provides an unprecedented entry into the corridors of powe, and a remarkable lesson in what makes an effective leader.

excellent read on ethical leadership
Revisado: 05-26-18
This book boasts an excellent description of ethical leadership, overshadowed by Jim Comey's personal and professional experiences. Jim's narration captures the subtle humor hidden within the text and truly brings out the emotional impact of some of his darkest hours. As a lifelong student of psychology, I can also appreciate his many references to the psychology of leadership, including its many biases. This book also covers some of the recent political events that ensnared and tested Comey's allegiance to a higher loyalty, beyond partisanship and unethical relationships (including experiences with the Bush, Obama, and Trump administrations). The foundation of the book is clearly built upon the attacks aimed at his moral character and serves to present a defense of this character and the concept of ethical leadership at large. I highly recommend this book for all, especially those who find themselves in leadership positions.
