Historia
After nearly eighteen months at Basgiath War College, Violet Sorrengail knows there’s no more time for lessons. No more time for uncertainty. Because the battle has truly begun, and with enemies closing in from outside their walls and within their ranks, it’s impossible to know who to trust. Now Violet must journey beyond the failing Aretian wards to seek allies from unfamiliar lands to stand with Navarre. The trip will test every bit of her wit, luck, and strength, but she will do anything to save what she loves—her dragons, her family, her home, and him.

Devastatingly addictive… how long must we wait?
Revisado: 04-26-25
The story consumes; there is less lightness and snark in this one and the darkness has grown beyond our ability to hope for light to win. Now we need to wait for over a year? Yarros has woven a devastating and compelling tapestry of characters, events, mysteries, passion, loyalty, danger, courage, fortitude and greed, faith and devotion, that has drawn us in completely. We wish her a quick recovery and beg for more of Xaden, Violet, and all the others- for love to win over fear; peace over war; truth over misrepresented history. All is not well in the Empyrean…

Historia
Yoga nidra is the master key to initiating shifts in conscious sleep states where change happens outside of doing. In yoga nidra, you enter a state of non-doing in which transformation happens from beyond the mind rather than through the mind. This comprehensive guidebook explores the core of Yogic philosophy and modern applications of yoga nidra backed by scientific research - affirming what Yogis have known for thousands of years.

Transformative - sublime
Revisado: 04-24-25
Every chapter of this book is an opportunity to discover the innate gift of transformation and a return to joy. Desai’s teaching is clear and using its suggestions, we can choose to release habits of thought that have long blocked our very possible healing; misled us into bondage to illness, depression, underachievement, fear…
This method is built on science and absolutely embraces whatever spiritual thought we may cherish, as it leads us to realize deeply engrained patterns of thought that lead us away from joy. When the pathway back to the original gift of freedom is clear, we may move back, sometimes for the first time, to freedom, joy, kindness, love…

Historia
Ashore on leave, Captain Sir Thomas Kydd learns of a dismal harvest and general hardship among the population. In Germany, Napoleon Bonaparte is celebrating victories that once again make his name feared throughout Europe. An armistice is signed and while the Allies lick their wounds Bonaparte sets to preparing for a grand advance. And, in a fragile peace, and saddled with huge war debts, the government has no choice but to place HMS Thunderer, along with many other Royal Navy ships, in reserve, until the Navy can decide what to do with their great fleets.

Sad to see it end
Revisado: 11-14-24
An historically correct end to our hero and, therefore not as compelling. Some of the passion and fury of Kydd’s ledgers is missing, and we have heard not a word of one of our favorite characters, Sturck, I wish he’d add Sturck to his crew… And where was Renzi? Just a brief cameo? Really? …but oh, how hard it is to see the legend end.

Woah! That was fun!
Revisado: 03-04-24
First of all, Ellie Hayden is a genius and a performer par excellence. French and English are flawless and we fall in love with the small child as we fall into the story. The action is at times so exciting, that stopping the audio would be an absolute impossibility. she keeps us guessing about the villains, and this might be the only place where I wonder if it could’ve been made a bit clearer how one of the villains turns out quite differently… I have never read Mary Stewart, and I have to say I am impressed.

Historia
After her father's death, Kate was left an orphan, striving to make ends meet as a governess until her Aunt Minerva rescues her from poverty. Kate hardly knows what to expect at the grand house of Staplewood. Her uncle lives in one wing, while her handsome, moody cousin, Torquil, occupies another; guests are few and far between, but even family dinners are rigidly formal. And, over it all, Minerva's word is law. But the sudden arrival of Cousin Philip throws Minerva's control over the household into doubt, and Kate begins to suspect the shocking reason for Minerva's generosity.

Great work despite painful plot
Revisado: 03-01-24
This story stands out in the prolific literature of Georgette Heyer. Still, it is, despite the painful theme, a masterwork. Heyer Somehow manages to bring in bits of characteristic humor, while the harrowing story unfolds and a rich romance takes form.
Christina Cole presents a formidable performance with dignity and beauty and lights up the occasional humor. For those of us who had looked with foreboding toward a new performance, we must feel very lucky indeed with Christina Cole.

Thrilling, Informative, Fast-paced and Fun
Revisado: 01-18-24
In this second episode of a valiant Warrior’s life, we suffer through treachery and danger. we rejoice in valiant heroism and a fighter’s skill and cunning. Our hero is consummate warrior, reluctant spy, devoted, husband and father, successful gentleman farmer… There is nothing not to love in this story. The swoon-worthy performance by the most remarkable Frazer Blaxland can not be overstated.

A favorite Heyer story
Revisado: 01-13-24
This story of intrigue and cross dressing, sword, fights, heroics, and one of the most delicious romances of all Georgette Heyer novels is just plain fun! The performance was wonderful, and the voice ever so beautiful. The French accent was exquisite except him a couple of words that truly shocked the listener as they were unexpectedly wrongly, pronounced. Nevertheless, it was a fun performance.

Such fun!
Revisado: 03-12-23
A tale of delightful misunderstandings, as our lovely heroine, tries to curb the audacious passions of her young sister-in-law. A prosy, but righteous suitor to this sister-in-law, proves heroic tendencies, despite his insipid ways. I hilariously irresponsible brother to the heroin, keeps up the hilarity throughout, and our hero, fearing that, his beautiful wife has married him for convenience, and not love, makes a mole of things until he learns the truth, but not before a wonderful jumble of events culminates in simple and honest sweetness.
