Historia
On a near-abandoned research base in an Arctic ice field, a skeleton crew works to ensure the centre doesn’t collapse amid treacherous storms. Officially, Trieste Grayling arrives in order to explore and film a sunken shipwreck for a documentary film; privately, she's working through a complicated grief. Trieste soon realises she's not the only one who was attracted to this intense isolation in order to escape her ghosts.

Learning about real black history
Revisado: 02-09-22
This is for real. I don't have to worry if the story is being told right. I don't have to worry that I'm being lied to. This podcast is uplifting and will snap you upright and open your eyes and mind. Learn from it, learn the truth, learn American history as it is unfettered by lies by those who....lie. Don't be afraid of the truth.
Thank you so much for giving this to us.

Historia
Kurt Vonnegut was 20 years old when he enlisted in the United States Army. Less than two years later, he was captured by the Germans in the single deadliest US engagement of the war, the Battle of the Bulge. He was taken to a POW camp, then transferred to a work camp near Dresden, and held in a slaughterhouse called Schlachthof Fünf where he survived the horrific firebombing that killed thousands and destroyed the city. Writing during the tumultuous days of the Vietnam conflict, Vonnegut took his trauma and created a work of art, one that still resonates today.

Surprisingly attention grabbing
Revisado: 01-17-22
Held me from first to last word. I had forgotten a lot of the original book by Vonnegut, but as Mr. Frangione worked his words into paragraphs I began to remember and comprehend more than I did when I first read it back way back. Glad I had to opportunity to listen and work.

Historia
Set in the vibrant 14th century of Chaucer and the Black Death, the classic romance Katherine features knights fighting in battle, serfs struggling in poverty, and the magnificent Plantagenets - Edward III, the Black Prince, and Richard II - who ruled despotically over a court rotten with intrigue. Within this era of danger and romance, John of Gaunt, the king's son, falls passionately in love with the already married Katherine.

another winter read
Revisado: 01-16-22
this novel by anya seton is an old favorite of mine, and i've read it a number of times over the years. it never ceases to please. and i still marvel at the thought of John and Katherine, all the ups and downs and good and evil, so well established in seton's grasp of their story. if you like historical novels, i'm certain this will be well received.
