Historia
James Toledo is dungeon descended, third son of a Dungeon Lord. His father was one of the 14 rulers of the Empire of Varad, each in charge of a dungeon core. James never believed he would have a chance to become a Dungeon Lord on his own, despite his dungeon-enhancing perk. But his grandfather found a new dungeon core, and made a deal with a creature of unimaginable power to become the new dungeon’s boss monster. Unfortunately, before James was given control of the new dungeon core, his grandfather was assassinated, and his family murdered or kidnapped by unknown, masked assailants.

aggressively sexual extremely early on
Revisado: 05-17-22
within the first couple hours theres at least 2 incidents of sexual assault or thoughts of sexually assaulting someone, the first time is even from the mc. I guess the author is trying to go for a darker vibe but imo there's better ways. this book isnt for me

Historia
Nathan Attis wakes up with no idea where he is, how he got there, or why his memories of the last few days are gone. He's more than a little perturbed to discover that he is dead, but it's not the end of the world. Due to his being in the army, he gets a second chance at existence in a fantasy VR game called Adonis Rebirth. But there's a problem with his transition into the game. His consciousness isn't loaded into a player character, but instead is transplanted into a beast who lives in the bowels of a mountain. Soon, hero players are going to come to kill him....

A rather sorry waste of space (spoilers)
Revisado: 08-14-20
To be honest the premise of the story wasn’t bad, however, the way it was told and the narrator telling it ruined it for me. The author fell short on many occasions taking the short route that brought the story along quickly rather than actually developing it as a story. Easy solutions were ramrodded into place and the MC Nathan found MacGuffins around every corner. The pearls which let him do basically anything and everything like creating a minion. A minion which required two very rare resources that he just so happened to have because of pure luck. Not to mention the fact that in less than a day the area he inhabited started to be familiar to him? And in less than three he had it mastered without using a map. Oh and the fact that he had the perfect skill set to make an “expertly” designed maze (while the other character who knows nothing about what had happened congratulates him) is yet another. Not to mention the abhorrent amount of needless repetition, but I digress. The point is that the author uses quite a bit of lazy writing to dance over a truly interesting premise. I’m enraptured by the thought of a person who gets misplaced in a brand new world and turns out to have a major role in it, though developing that story over more than a scant few hours would’ve been preferable to this dumpster fire. At least that’s the bare bones without spoiling more than I already have. The narrator is much easier to discuss. Sadly Mr. Loving was a bit flat. I was taken in by the idea, not the writing and especially not his flaccid telling of the story. I don’t blame him though as his rather daunting lack of range is more than likely a product of the encephalitic writing he rather blandly portrayed for the lovely listeners that got taken in like fools in a carnival game. I don’t mean to be spiteful but story telling like this is an outrage and an outright pity to those who took the time to listen to it. Honestly it’s a rather sad affair though I will say that at least the story keeps moving(even if that moving is at the speed of light). Releasing three ancient evils over the course of three days is rather awkward for a first book after all. What’s next, work disintegration in a fortnight?
