Historia
Joan Sample is not living the life she expected. Now a widow and an empty-nester, she has become by her own admission something of a recluse. But after another birthday spent alone, she is finally inclined to listen to her sister, who has been begging Joan to reengage with the world. With Emmie’s support, Joan gathers the courage to take some long-awaited steps: hiring someone to tame her overgrown garden, joining a grief support group, and even renting out a room to a local college student. Before long Joan is starting to feel a little like herself again.

clean romance but pretty predictable
Revisado: 01-18-25
sometimes I just want a simple romance story line, not convaluted and not too serious, this was perfect for that criteria, also I am always looking for no cursing and no explicit romantic details, I liked a bit of humor in the story and traditional relationships

Except life goes off course when Reggie’s husband walks out on their marriage the same day she receives the most devastating news. With her hopes and dreams for the future crumbling, Reggie turns to three of the best friends a girl could ever want.

Historia
If not for her loving but controlling parents, Beth Prudhomme might never have taken charge of her life and moved from her native Chicago to Portland, Oregon, where she's reconnected with her spirited aunt Sunshine and found a job as a high school music teacher. If not for her friend Nichole, Beth would never have met Sam Carney, although first impressions have left Beth with serious doubts.

Not the best Debbie Macomber, kinda felt she just threw it together to get another book out, I'm not trying to be mean, it just seemed blah

even through much struggle Michael J Fox finds hope and humour, I am totally grateful for all the lovely, frustrating moments he gives us with his story, thank you Michael for your optimism and realism in this oh so fragile thing we call life

As the proud proprietor and head pastry chef of Tea by the Sea, a traditional English tearoom on the picturesque bluffs of Cape Cod, Roberts has her hands full, often literally. But nothing keeps her busier than steering her sassy grandmother, Rose, away from trouble. Rose operates the grand old Victorian B & B adjacent to Lily’s tea shop...for now. An aggressive real estate developer, Jack Ford, is pushing hard to rezone nearby land, with an eye toward building a sprawling golf resort, which would drive Rose and Lily out of business.

tea room joy, but not really a romance story
Revisado: 03-09-21
loved the tea room details and a nice story line but for some reason I thought this was also a romance novel, maybe on a sequel the relationship of Lily and Simon will be explored? I really enjoyed the readers voice and inflections of all the characters voices

In seaside Blueberry Cove, Maine, friends are just another word for family, and big-city politics take a backseat to local pride. But the real treasure on these shores is always love.... When DC lawyer Hannah McCrae heads home for her brother's wedding, she's dragging a lot of baggage along with her - and she doesn't mean suitcases. Betrayed personally and humiliated professionally, the last thing she wants is a new man. That's fine with square-jawed, rugged contractor Calder Blue.

I prefer more sweet romance, over sexual content
Revisado: 02-16-21
I liked the story line, pretty good detailing in plotline but too much swearing and the sexual content was just too uncomfortable for me personally

Revisado: 10-17-20
I really tried to hang in there with this book but the cursing is just too much for me, they say really good writers don't need foul language in their writings so there yah go.
I won't read anymore of Mary kay Andrews books and I wish I hadn't wasted my credit on it.

nice romantic story

nice romance story to take your mind off the "real" world, kinda predictable but I still liked it. This narrator though is not my favorite, all her sentences end with a lilting
upbeat, not natural.
