As someone who is not a fan of sci-fi I did not expect to be so invested in one!!! I have to also give credit to the Narrator Ray Porter 👏🏻👏🏻 I am listening to EVRYTHING he narrates after this! I thought I would be bored by all the science but it was written & performed in such an engaging and easy to follow way. Loved the story..I don't want to say much so I dont spoil anything. I went into this book blind (literally didn't even read the synopsis!) just went my the nagging recommendation of my sister, and I'm glad I did!!
I felt excitement, exhiliration, joy, fear, anxiety I never thought I'd get from a book...and it was all worth it. Just listen to the book you won't regret it!

I must say I have never read a fantasy book in this context. What a beautiful story with the most colorful characters. And the narration just gave it that extra dazzle. Wonderful story highly recommended.

This may very well be my favorite Lily Morton book yet! Absolutely enjoyed every bit of it! Both characters are so lovable and their relationship is so comfortable it was such a delight to see it develop. And of course, as I'm always used to the absolutely engaging and very pleasant narration of Joel Leslie. I see him as the narrator and I immediately click to listen.
Love this story so much. Highly recommended 👌🏻

This needs to be a series..

Seriously..this needs to be a series...a really really long one with a different case in every book. I'm hoping 'Case #1' means we'll have many many more because I thoroughly enjoyed this story! and of course I can never say enough good things about Joel Leslie's narration. He brings all the characters to life I feel like it's a movie playing in my head. Love it!

I usually score the books I listen to but never leave a review. I did however want to leave a review for this one because I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was captivated by the story and the characters. I was impressed by the world David R. Slatyn created which albeit a bit dark it was weirdly relatable. I rarely find interest in so many characters in a story yet in this one I found myself invested in each character. The further you get in the story the more and more you get attached to Adam just like the characters in the story did. I love how he stayed true to himself throughout the books and never succumbed to any temptations. The only thing I wished for was to have Adam and Vic spend more time together. They were mostly separated throughout the 3 books. I'd actually love another addition to this series with a lighter tone showing their life together and Adam in his new job. Absolutely loved this story and would actually love to see a movie adaptation of it someday. Michael did an absolutely stellar job narrating it.
Looking forward to more books from this author.

I literally could not sleep because of this story...went through the 3 books so fast like my life depended on it! absolutly loved it! Wouldn't mind reading more of the shifters adventures but on a lighter and much happier tone.
