Historia
A covert group is infiltrating the world’s most secure bio-weapons research sites. All across the country, people are acting as human ‘disease bombs’ by infecting themselves and walking into public places. And heavily armed groups of illegal private soldiers are massing for some unknown strike. Joe Ledger and the members of Rogue Team International, still reeling from the devastation and heartbreaking losses of their last mission, are forced into relentless action to try and save the country, if not the entire world.

Could not have been better!
Revisado: 03-20-25
Been a Joe Ledger, Mayberry and Porter fan for years. I’ve not missed a single book that has referenced Joe in every way possible. I wait like Pavlov’s dogs for each release. This did not disappoint and maybe just maybe be better than Patient Zero (which grabbed me hook, line and sinker from the first sentence) I am in awe of the masterful writing, the gut wrenching horror and the incredible gift that is Ledger, Mayberry and Porter. Yes, Joe is as real as the people who brought him to life. In fact, everyone is. I am as invested in them all as the first day I met them. Yup you could listen to it stand alone but why? Just sit back and enjoy the whole ride.

Royce and Hadrian ride again!
Revisado: 11-27-24
Oh, so much to like. Royce and Hadrian banter. Mr Reynolds’s and his perfect narration. Mr Sullivan and his finely crafted tales that weave a tapestry. I do love these two scoundrels and want nothing more than to continue with all of their possible stories. This was a little more light hearted and that was a nice change. I love the tension and drama but also love to listen to the dynamics of Royce and Hadrian themselves and the crowd of characters that join us, revisiting favorite friends, interactions and glimpses of the past stories.

When you put master storyteller with master verbal story teller you always get a masterpiece. I love reoccurring characters and glimpses of their backstory. Not a spoiler at all- it’s just nice to see old “friends.”

Watching the story unfold
Revisado: 03-23-24
Having read all in this series, it is great fun to see already “known” characters in different stages of development. Little Suri is one of my favorite characters and seeing her this young and knowing her future is wonderful. It’s not a spoiler- more of her beginning. Tim is a fabulous narrator and brings these characters to life. Can’t wait to follow their adventures.

Historia
We were outnumbered, outfought. Mankind was about to fall to the alien Flock. Our only chance was a desperate gamble, transforming Tier One SpecOps agents into deadly super soldiers. In the end, we won the war, but we lost the peace. The Flock surrendered and spent the next two hundred years making reparations, indentured to humanity, doing everything humans did not want to do. And the evolved super soldiers were consigned to an endless sleep. Ready if ever needed, but in time they became myths. Abandoned and forgotten.

Good story great narration but…
Revisado: 10-07-23
Really good. Good characters well fleshed out. I can hear Mr Maberry but have yet to learn about Mr Ochse. The only negative I can find is that there seemed to be some flow issues- maybe just the shortness of the chapters to be honest I wasn’t feeling well so I might not have remembered it all. Ray as usual was perfect. Something about Jonathan and Ray - the combo that can’t be stopped!! Welcome to the club Weston!

Just as good as the others
Revisado: 05-27-23
As usual the combo of Jack Carr and Ray Porter bring these characters to light. Some are old friends, others new. But each is so fleshed out they become more than just characters. Not a spoiler! But these are hard and fast and not for the casual reader. There is enough backstory that you don’t have to listen to the others, but do yourself a favor and start at book one. The growth of Reese, the changes, and the things that will never change are interesting to examine. Although I doubt a prequel will ever happen- I would so love a young Reese. We learn a lot about his relationship with his father in this book and it makes me want to learn if first hand. There are some folks that would find it less fast paced and typical but at his core Reese is a family man. What he does he does for his family, be it blood or brothers. I love that about him and would love to watch young Reese become the Reese we know. In any case-I love this as much as the others. Well done Jack and Ray!

Awesome “Read”
Revisado: 12-05-22
I knew this would be good but I did not truly expect it to be great. Suspense, action and a subject told brilliantly from the author’s insider point of view (without making it all about autopsies!) the characters are well thought out and the plot catches you completely off guard. I felt like I was in New Orleans but not the place of Mardi Gras and Bourbon Street. A darker New Orleans of mud and oppressive heat and black water. Narration was top notch and I’m really picky about such things. Apparently, we have a new writer in town!

Am enjoying this series
Revisado: 11-12-22
I like the whole premise. Time travel. Families. Friends and satisfaction of a tale well told. Each book is fine alone but reading from start to finish uninterrupted would be a great idea. Action. Love. Indecision and decision beautifully portrayed. I understand Joe’s thought processes. I believe in his innate goodness despite reservations and I love an ending although not a cliff hanger leaves you wanting more. And of course there is Ray Porter whose stellar narration brings me into every character and every story he performs. Thank you!

Insane
Revisado: 11-12-22
I truly can’t believe this. I’m normally on the side of the police (with a bit of a skeptical eye) but this reeks of incompetence or stupidity or coverup. Coverup seems most likely but of what? I’m baffled and angry in equal measure for Johnny’s family and of a man killed for whatever reason. There should be a thorough investigation not only of Johnny’s death but of the “investigation” itself.
