Diviner’s Prophecy (Book One of the Diviner’s Saga

Diviner’s Prophecy is most assuredly part of a nice trilogy. It seems to focus on the various aspects of divination in the body of the book’s text. It also covers scenes from dealing with romance and treachery, kings and queens, princes and princesses, modesty and brazenness.

As with most books that have multiple volumes, Diviner’s Prophecy starts off rather slowly. But this isn’t to be considered a fault, details that are vital to the entire story are often found only in the tedious beginnings of slow moving (in the beginning) epics.
.
Ms. Nicolette Andrews did make up for the moderate pace towards the latter parts of the tale, by juggling quite a few of those proverbial irons in the fire and coalescing several the pertinent segments as needed to solidify things and a few cliff notes into a nice cliff hanger.
.
In this reviewer’s opinion Diviner’s Prophecy is a romance for young adults. I hope that you that read or listen to the story enjoy it. I listened to the book in audiobook format.

The book is a group of rather intense and a bit on the darker side, short stories. Ordinarily not quite my “cup of tea.” But I did and do enjoy fantasies no matter where they’re located. Even when the stories range from Central India to Central China as these stories seemed to.

A tale of the animalistic behavior within us all

Black Plague Survival is a rather interesting and revealing aspect of just how far our society may degenerate into a (God forbid!) "dog eat dog" world, yet a chosen few try as hard as they can to remain above the muck and mire and hold the family unit together.

The book could take place tomorrow, but to the author's credit he managed to avoid a lot of the technical aspects of how pandemics are managed, rather he focused on the behavior of the beasts of our society and how quickly things can / could fall apart, and just how far they might "fall..."
.
The book is well written, but my American ears are not accustomed the vernacular and speech patterns of the United Kingdom.
.
What I liked was how much down and dirty / the nitty gritty the author portrays his characters.
.
The only thing I struggled with was a few of the sentences almost escaped my understanding.
.
Nice work to the author, this was a pretty accurate tale of the beast that resides within each and every one of us.

I am highly impressed with the level of detail of Ancient Mongolian everyday Living that Starr Z. Davies has infused into book to say the least.

Superstition, romance, conniving, political struggles, gorey details of debasement, spiritual beliefs, huge and profound love...

I could blather on and on, but I'll just say that I think it's worth the time to read/listen to.

I have been listening to Audiobooks for over two decades, so I hope that my opinion and experience counts for a few folks out there? ;-)
.
I can honestly say that while the romance genre isn't my cup of tea, I don't mind telling you that I truly enjoyed this work of literature. Well done, Starr Z. Davies. ♥️👍♥️
