Would you listen to A Game of Ghosts again? Why?
Yes, and I have listened several times - because it is a deep and intricate work. It deals with 'Brethren' which is a cult that I am unfortunately familiar with, and this book helped me think through many aspects of my experiences with them.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes, Connolly has a very deep and inquiring mind. Why is this cult (and many other cults), so secretive and punitive? Well Connolly has some very good suggestions embedded in the text of this book...
What does Jeff Harding bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Well Jeff Harding is a wonderful narrator who is a pleasure to listen to - especially at night when the lights are out.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
where the cult meets the occult.
Any additional comments?
Yes the head of the Brethren Cult thinks he is the reincarnated St Paul. The Pope thinks he is the reincarnated St Peter...

Australia's most popular and entertaining story teller.
Don't look for deep and meaningful philosophical content with Robert Barrett, just vintage enjoyment Basically, the formula is 3 great sex scenes plus 3 great fight scenes set in a recognizable Oz landscape; with a story line connecting the dots.
Robert Barrett has a turn of phrase that makes me laugh out loud, which is actually a rare event. Thus, his new books always went to the very top of my reading pile, and the audios are right up there aswell.
Unfortunately he passed away but his writing hasn't...

I was tranfixed by this remarkable and blisteringly honest story about the banking industry. Grossly overpaid and incompetant sleezebags and scumbags at the controls of the banking industry with OTHER PEOPLE"S MONEY.
I noticed he jumped ship just before the banking bubble burst and I wish him well in his next career- because he has surely burned his bridges by his frankness....

We all have computers and we have all had malware, which I have never understood. This story concerns a worm/ virus/ or whatever that panicked everyone, but came to very little harm in the end.
There were huge efforts to sort it out without particular success. Actually, I still don't understand this stuff and the worm malware certainly vexed the people who do understand it - so I suppose we are all in for a very big kicking in the future.... we will just have to wait and see.
A bit depressing at the end of the day!

I was annoyed at the compromising attitude of this book. Basically it understates a very serious form of bad parenting and child abuse.
Narcissism, is a serious form of Personality Disorder and is a lesser form of Psychopathy. Such people are grossly destructive by choice and should in no way be indulged! Infact, like the Terminator, they can't be taught, or bargained with. Use the propositions in this book 'they will be back'! Oh the pain....
