Sweet Story for Little Ones
Revisado: 12-28-14
If you could sum up Sophie's Snail in three words, what would they be?
sweet, caring, relatable
What did you like best about this story?
Each of the six chapters is a different story (loosely related to the others) about a 4 year old girl who loves animals (even woodlice). My kids (ages 5, 5, and 3) could relate to her character. What I like best about the book is that it is wholesome fun.

Historia
As a woman used to traveling and living the high life in Bangkok, Leanne Shirtliffe recognized the constant fodder for humor while pregnant with twins in Asia's sin city. But in spite of deep-fried bug cuisine and nurses who cover newborn bassinets with plastic wrap, Shirtliffe manages to keep her babies alive for a year with help from a Coca-Cola deliveryman, several waitresses, and a bra factory. Then she and her husband return home to the isolation of North American suburbia.

Any additional comments?
This was a fun, easy listen. I think most parents of young children will be able to find some stories in this book that they can relate to. Nothing in this audio book had me laughing out loud, but it definitely put a smile on my face.

Historia
This classic tale is a fantastical fable of two dear friends - one of whom goes astray and is literally lost to the north woods, while the other undertakes an epic journey to rescue him. This charming, strange, and wonderful story is a timeless allegory about growing up and the challenges of staying true to one's self, and it served as the wintry inspiration for the blockbuster hit Frozen.

Kept My Children's Attention
Revisado: 12-23-14
Any additional comments?
I listened to this story with my young children (ages 3, 5, and 5) over the course of two days. As other reviewers have mentioned, the story is a bit strange. However I feel the story has a charm to it, as well. The narrator was fabulous, and it kept our attention. We'll definitely be listening to it again in the future.

Wolfgang Amadeus was an unusual name for a mouse. But then Wolf was an unusual mouse. He could sing beautifully - and even compose music.

Adorable!
Revisado: 12-23-14
What does Patricia Routledge bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
This is one of those books that is even better in audio format. The narrator did a great job with the little mouse voices and the songs/music really added something to the story that I would have had a hard time reproducing if I were reading it aloud to my children.
Any additional comments?
My children (ages 5, 5, and 3) and I really enjoyed this cute story about a mouse who can sing. The narration was beautifully done.
